jbg Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 Saddam Hussein Eulogy He was a simple man, a man of his people. Fiercely loyal to his tribe, the Tikritis, he put the Tikritis on the map. His devotion to his people was legendary. He would stop at nothing to settle scores for his people, however ancient or remote. In order to work his wonders, he had the courage to feed through shredders anyone who challenged the good of his people. He was a generous man. He had true compassion for the families of people who sent their children to Israel as human missiles. He put his money where his mouth was, paying these families $25-$50,000 to send as many “Zionists” to the great beyond as possible. These human missiles greatly improved the lives of Arabs, Palestinians and Muslims everywhere. They were a true exercise of the liberated soul of the Arab people. Every arsenic-tipped nail driven full speed by a suicide bomb into an Israeli worker, wife or baby helped Saddam’s people. Jihad was and is so beautiful; it can make grown men cry. Saddam was a courageous man. He had the courage to stand up to “the man”, in this case former US President George Herbert Walker Bush. The fact that he was unsuccessful in his “people’s execution” does not gainsay his courage. Saddam is a man who will never be forgotten. "Yitgadal, v'yitgash, shmay rabah..." sharkman Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 If ever a man deserved to die, it was this man. Thousands of Iraqis who couldn't stop looking over their shoulders may start realizing they don't have to anymore. Quote

The Americans may not be perfect, but they're not habitual butchers like Saddam or his "Republican Guard". Why not stop the reflex criticism of forces for good in the world? Reflex criticism? Not. Well thought out and decided upon criticism, yes. At least the Iraqi people knew who the enemy was didn't they. Now it can be there next door neighbour or an American soldier might think that they are the "bad guy". Good Iraqis wear red and bad Iraqis wear blue? How can you tell an insurgent from a citizen? How can a citizen tell the difference, let alone a soldier from a foreign country? *Force for good in the world? Pffft. The Propaganda is working well on you I see. If Americans believe they are a force for good in the world, why do they insist on wearing a maple leaf when they travel overseas? *Lovely marketing tag line there . Quote ...jealous much? sharkman Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Drea, no doubt you would rather have the butcher Sadam back in power with his rape rooms and torture chambers. BTW, Iraqis are looking over their shoulders for American haters who want to blow stuff up. Quote

newbie Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 Oooh, big fonts. I hope you realize how silly that looks, much like a kid in kindergarten would do. Ah well... Quote
sharkman Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 Not silly at all. Many use those fonts to add to their post. I remember old tom dooley, never heard of the dylan one though. I can't remember any hangings of consequence since I've been alive, they should do it more often for Saddam types. Quote

I trimmed it since it is also rather long, and replacing the chorus with the word "chorus" wouldn't shorten it. It was his own people that hung him, which is the punishment for murder (crimes against humanity) in Iraq. Besides what is the difference between someone dying in the street from hunger in a modern city, or being hung, as they BOTH end up DEAD? It seems atrocities are seen from the eye of the beholder.
