America is quickly becoming the new "Mexico" with it's dollar dropping like a rock in comparison to ALL other world currencies. Any day now I expect the news to be reporting that Americans are sneaking over the northern border in the middle of the night to find jobs.

And yet here you are in all your smugness.

On the news the other day, some American tourists got off a cruise ship and were utterly shocked that their dollar was worth only 95 cents. They didn't know that their currency had fallen on the world currency exchange.

Don't you Americans get world news down there? Don't you have a "business" segment on your local news? Don't the local newscasts tell the populace that the dollar is spiralling into oblivion? Or do you all just pretend it isn't happening?

Wages in Canada are higher than the US now for many job categories. Taxes are also lower compared to some US states.

It's already been covered here ad nauseam....my coworkers are well insured and don't have to wait for "emergencies". Yet the provinces keep sending your emergencies across the border to Seattle or Buffalo.

That happens the minority of the time, and so what, who cares, it still costs them nothing. Even if you are well covered, when you are dealing with an insurance company, its not a good thing when it involves your life.

Yep, its a good thing that our citizens get care for free in your hospital while you have to pay . Your going to see even fewer Canadians being treated in the US, as we are going to start sending them to other provinces rather than to states. Also, your excess capacity is part of the reason the average American pays 5000 per year for health while the average Canadian pays 2500 including taxes. The Canadian system is not built for few and far between emergency cases, that's just stupid and as you can see from the statistics results in higher costs.
