Your side literally just voted unanimously to jail people who say things they don't like.

You're comfortable with lying constantly, aren't you?

"Although it passed the committee with minimal controversy, the amendment was defeated in a full Senate vote on Wednesday, with the Carney government declaring it would not support a similar amendment if it was included in the amended bill sent back to the House of Commons."

I wouldn't say comfortable, but i've learned that i can't talk to you or the left without having to put up with it, it's just how you are :)

You appear to be quoting from the information i provided.  How is that a lie?

Oh... were you just lying about what i said?  Yeah, see this is what i meant. I wouldn't be able to talk to you if i wasn't tolerant of people constantly lying.

https://nationalpost.com/opinion/senate-votes-to-jail-canadians-for-residential-school-denialism

The only vote against was from a Senator who said it wouldn’t go far enough

On Monday, the Senate’s standing committee on human rights introduced a one-line clause to the Combatting Hate Act criminalizing the act of “condoning, denying or downplaying the Indian residential school system.”

Any Canadian caught doing so, unless it was in “private conversation,” would be “guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment not exceeding two years.”

THis is the left today.   You are literally watching the left trying to destroy free speech.

I doubt many on the left here are going to speak out against it.  When the right gets back into power we are going to have to make sure things swing the other way or we will be branded criminals.  We have to start putting the left in jail for proposing stuff like this.

Beware of any political entity that refuses to look at facts and alternate viewpoints.  We saw this happen with the media frenzy over purported gravesites.  Once facts are ignored and opinions are treated as facts, you have lost the plot and are no longer a free democracy.

We shouldn't be jailing anyone for non-violent free expression of ideas.

Can you give me one example? And not the Bullsh!t about the 'freedom convoy'. They were jailed for Mischief and disobeying court orders.

It passed.  With minimal controversy.

A senate committee passed this.  with minimal controversy.

That is what was reported, that is the truth.

A group of Canadian political officials voted unanimously to put Canadians in jail for having an opinion they didn't like. That's a thing that happened.

The fact that others defeated it later does not change that simple fact.

This is the left today. This is what you and your kind want for Canadians.  And your'e here trying to excuse it and defend it instead of condemning it.

But of course you never mentioned that.

Quote where I excused anything. No? You can't? Then STFU!

Posted the whole story so of course I did mention it. In fact you pulled it from my source.

So once again you have to resort to lies to try and make a point. I was very clear in my original post, nobody said that the house had passed it or parliament or anything like that from minute one everything I said was absolutely true and complete.

But you lied about it and now that I pointed out you lied about it you want to somehow make it be my fault.

This is what the left wing is today. They want to put people in jail for saying things they don't like. That's the kind of person you are that's the kind of person they are here's the proof

Your entire post is above. Your entire argument was "BUT BUT BUT BUT IT WAS DEFEATED SO THIS DOESN"T COUNT".

Let's not pretend it wasn't. So I can. And I won't be STFU. Instead I'll be pointing out what a dishonest liar you are and how dishonest the left is and how badly they want to defend the idea of locking people up for saying things they don't like.

All you've done is hammer hold the point that I was right from the beginning. This is what the left is. You want to lie, you want to silence people that don't lie the same way, you don't believe in human rights, you believe that whatever you think is right should be the ONLY thing people can do . Or they can stfu.  But they won't .

Blah, Blah, Blah. Same old sh!t you post every day, many times a day! Your blind partisan mindset makes you say stupid things.

And your post title was a blatant lie. The Senate did NOT "-vote-to-jail-canadians-for-residential-school-denialism."

Yeah that's the funny thing about the truth, it kind of stays the same all the time :) So while your stories change every few minutes, my take on things is annoyingly constant

But I absolutely love the fact that you think being consistent and logical is a negative personality trait :) LOLOL

And no, sorry to burst your bubble but that was a senate vote. And the story is right there.

Cry harder kiddo, always love to see those lefty tears when you can't refute an argument  :P
