The idea that Obama is black comes from the racist notion that if you are not pure white, you are the other race. If you believe Obama is black, you are promoting the racist belief that white is only white if it is pure. The Obama presidency was the last of the 20th century tradition, which has been anti-populist for the most part since 1952. There's nothing like looking old-fashioned, to tarnish a political party.
