Typical political corruption - the PEOPLE had decided in favor........ The Supreme Court had previously decided (Feb 13) before the vote that the referendum could proceed and then voided the unexpected result. A designed bushwhack - after millions had been spent. The Virginia Supreme Court did not rule in February that the referendum was constitutional — it only allowed the vote to proceed while the case was still being decided. The court issued its final ruling in May and held that the amendment process violated Virginia’s constitutional procedures, so the referendum result was legally invalid even though voters approved it.
