Yes their human capital is good but that's only one peace of the puzzle . They're still bounded by physical reality of their geography. No energy, no civilization. No food (see fertilizer), no people.

Our primary concern has always been manifest destiny, and the Monroe doctrine, it then Expanded with the advent of deepwater navigation to encompass the mahanian view of naval power. All that to say, leave us alone on our side of the globe. Which includes both North and South America
