What do you call illegal aliens?

I go back and forth between Illegal Alien and Criminal Invader, but usually go with Illegal Alien.

Seeking asylum is legal right protected under U.S. and international law - u just need to show up - but an individual seeking asylum IS documented.

Asinine for sure - but blaming the victim is even more so.

Would a statute work?

ooooops, tried that.

ref: Border Act of 2024

The bill faced strong opposition from most Senate Republicans, including former President Trump, who criticized it as overly permissive on border enforcement. Despite bipartisan negotiation, the bill failed in the Senate by a narrow (49-50 votes, largely due to political considerations ahead of the presidential election ......... to paraphrase, Trump put his finger on the scale - Trump wanted a border crisis the strategy being that it would help  him in the gen.

Yeah that bill's too permissive.

I prefer the 8 U.S. Code § but cut and dried: You pass the border illegally and your ass is in Mexico.

You can apply for visas. asylum, all that shit at the border in Mexico.

In addition to cracking down on illegal immigration, we need to curtail regular immigration by 99.9%. Only 100 of the brightest minds from other countries can come here per year.

No. Seeking asylum is a defense to their lack of proper visa and is supposed to be reserved for the politically prosecuted and refugees. It is a privilege that is afforded those that don't have the freedom to disagree with their government and need a "safe house."

It is not, as the Biden admin used it, a bypass to the immigration law and it does not apply to economically disadvantaged or people from regions with high crime rates.

Don't you think that if I were wrong that I would know it?

In the United States, asylum seekers are granted certain rights and protections under the Constitution, including the right to due process and the opportunity to apply for asylum.

On January 20, 2025, the second Trump administration implemented  executive actions that relate to the U.S. southern border. The EO's effectively close the southern border to migrants, including those requesting asylum and humanitarian protection.

EO's are not enduring .........The  Border Act of 2024 was victory and bipartisan .....but Trump rejected it; wanting to use the border as a campaign issue.

There is nothing in the Constitution that guarantees a right to asylum.

That is not what that EO said. The EO said the military had to help secure the border, that the CBP could use drones and build a wall but it said nothing about preventing asylum seekers. You made that up.

Can you prove that your assertion is in the EO? I will even make it easy for you: A link to the EO in question.

You don't even have to figure out how to use Google. Just click the link and copy and paste the part that says no migration or asylum.

The bill was crap:

the Hill

"But the conservatives are right about this bill. The Border Act would not stop the administration from continuing to create questionable parole programs to admit migrants who don’t have visas or other valid entry documents. It would not end catch and release. It would not stop migrants from using meritless asylum claims to enter and remain in the United States indefinitely.

As U.S. District Court Judge T. Kent Wetherell said in a 2023 immigration case, the Biden-Harris administration’s actions have been “akin to posting a flashing ‘Come In, We’re Open’ sign on the southern border.”

The Border Act does provide the president with authority to close the border down when illegal crossings between ports of entry reach an average of 4,000 per day for more than seven days. This is not mandatory, however, unless the average rises above 5,000 per day for more than seven days, which would be more than 1.8 million per year. And even that provision would sunset in three years. That is not a resolution of the issue."

Trump said the bill was not needed to close the border to illegal aliens. The bill did not pass. Illegal aliens are not getting through. Trump was correct.

Ref: Art IV, Section  4 (U.S. Constitution)

‘The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government and shall protect each of them against invasion, and on application of the Legislature, or of the Executive’

On January 20, 2025, the Trump administration invoked Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution to suspend entry of migrants, including asylum seekers until the predicated, ‘invasion’ ended.

Further, Migrants were required to provide medical and criminal background information to be considered for entry, and thus effectively restricting asylum claims and unauthorized crossings.

I wouldn't have considered you to take the Dem side in criticizing Trump's actions???

That didn't happen. Where are you getting that info?

Asylum and refugee claims are still viable. They just can't be abused like it was under Biden.

Restricted how? To people that aren't bringing the next pandemic or convicted of murder?

That is so far out of left field it definitely came from the stands in foul territory. How in the world did you come to that conclusion...any of these conclusions? Nothing you have said has any basis in reality.

Don't you think that if I were wrong that I would know it?

............. my mistake, thought u were a critic of Trump's actions.

Trump's actions were IAW the Constitution ........ I kept it simple but my text described the gist. The intent was to shut immigration and more specifically asylum claims, DOWN!

Oh, indeed ............ asylum and refugee claims are still viable ............... ah, GOOD LUCK at the southern border.

My text described how it was done .......... there is more (Mil, border control), but I didn't want to get into legalese.

2. He's sayin you can't come in here which I as a voter agree with 100%. They can apply from Mexico.

3. In this case it needs to be enduring until we can make it official through Congress - the SC if necessary.

See, what democrats are trying to do is get aliens into the country and keep them in the country.

The process is simple: once an alien breaches the border, 90% of his problems are in the rearview mirror. All he has to do at that point is disappear. If he gets caught then he can squeal like a pig and democrats and RINOs rush to help with asylum claims. The piece of shit lower judges stand ready to approve, and then the f*cking alien is here for life.

No, it's the most stupidly obvious.

In your case, the most truthful would be one of the soft on illegal immigration responses like "undocumented American".

Nothing to do with pro-legal immigration...  Just a laugh at a Canadian talking fluent American, almost like he lived there.

The point is, comprehensive border legislation is needed.

I don't blame those claiming  asylum  - bogus maybe - but they're not breaking the law - they have Constitutional  right - if ur going to blame anyone,  blame the political hacks - useless mofrs!

Isn't that obvious? We all know you'd bend over if the Canadian border was bum rushed.

It was stupid of you to reply. lol
