God gave the settlers this land, not the devil. The devil's just an occupier - like a squatter in someone's home. He doesn't own anything, but he does talk a lot of shit - he is the father of lies, after all.

Satan told Jesus that he had authority over the territory and that he gives it to whomever he wants. Yet the settlers think that God gave it to them. How could God have given it to them when Satan himself tells Jesus that he has authority over it? It is the devil who has authority over that territory and who gave it to the Jews
