well he's not entirely wrong. 20% of all of the deaths that took place in Canada last year from any source or cause were maids deaths.  

Counselors have been caught directly offering maid as an option to vets instead of treatment for their mental health issues and there's been reports of others doing the same thing with other people. 

There's a story right now of how a saskatchewan women would NOT be treated in Canada and told she would have to choose maid (she was signed up for it and eveything) when an american offered to pay for her medical treatment, now she'll be fine.

So to call it an 'outrageous lie' is certainly not true.

Hence not "entirely" wrong.  this isn't 2023 btw.  It was the 5th leading killer in 2024.  It's expected to end the year higher than that in 2025. It's expected to work it's way to number 4 or 3 in 2026.  It's numbers are groing at just over 6 percent a year. 

So it is wrong to say it's number three. But it's not far off and probably will be shortly

And yes, sorry that should have been one in 20 not 20%. The current rate is just over 5% actually and might hit as much as 6% next year but still a long way from 20. My bad, take the win

Consider the example of the military veteran who suffering from pTSD, is desperate, is severely depressed, isn't sure what to do next And along comes their caretaker who says maybe it's time for you to end it, there's no hope for you

That is huge. And we know that this has happened

So let's not pretend that these decisions are being made by healthy happy people with good mental health with no external sources.

What experience do you have with MAID?

It begins with 3 separate interviews with 3 different doctors to determine not only your physical health but your state of mind. Then follow a sequence of phone calls with the medical professionals, over a period of months during which the person requesting it is asked to continually verify their decision.

And even on the day it happens, the doctor who comes to administer it says, "You can change your mind. Do you want us to proceed?"

And the person answers, "Proceed."

So take your ignorant opinion and shove it.

Your statement is beyond absurd. There is an entire government bureaucracy and medical process involved in killing the person with lots of people with lots of agency.
