August1991 Posted May 30, 2006 Report Posted May 30, 2006 The media may be biased against Harper but Google is overwhelmingly biased against the Liberals. A Google search on petulant "Stephen Harper" Canada gives 740 hits. A Google search on arrogant "Liberal Party" Canada gives 106,000 hits. Clearly, Google "overrepresents" derogatory remarks about the Liberal Party and some kind of positive discrimination should be enforced. Google should institute immediately a non-biased search mechanism so that there is equality in hits achieved. Quote
Hicksey Posted May 30, 2006 Report Posted May 30, 2006 Considering the blogosphere is largely conservative, its not surprising that such a search result could happen. Its hardly discrimination. theloniusfleabag Posted May 30, 2006 Report Posted May 30, 2006 Dear August1991, Clearly, Google "overrepresents" derogatory remarks about the Liberal Party and some kind of positive discrimination should be enforced.Rubbish. Google should keep it's hands off, and not be discriminatory in any way. They should also not appease China by helping crush democracy. Montgomery Burns Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 Google is run by liberals and clearly has a political agenda. They have refused to put numerous conservative sources in their news section, but yet have many Islamonazi sites in their news section. I try to avoid using Google as much as possible, but it is tough because, I have to admit, their search engine is the best. Hopefully MSN's upcoming new search engine is as good as Google's and I can dump Google for good.
