I would argue he didn't really exceed expectations, but I don't see a problem acknowledging and achievement even of a bad person. I don't think you give them credit and say that somehow makes them a good person but you can say things like hitler corrected their inflation problem without actually saying Hitler was a good guy. Recognizing a fact isn't the same as praising an individual and I think that's where sparky was coming from. I hate carney, I think he's a lying scud bag who deserves cancer but even I have to admit his come from behind victory was absolutely legendary.
