What exactly are you talking about?  Carney wisely said nothing as the idi0t babbled on about the G8.

Looking weak.... be serious. He looked and is coming across as a more than capable leader, which is exactly what the country thought he'd be and why he was voted in. A true embarrassment would be watching PP represent Canada while looking like a deer in the headlights.

Nope, just let Trump keep digging. No point in picking a fight with him, that's what Trudeau would have done.

Every reliable news outlet will pick up on it anyway and the Trump ass kisser networks just use anything Carney might of said against him. There is nothing in it for us to have Carney make Trump look as ignorant as he is. We went down that road with Trudeau.

I get your point.  In principle I agree.  Carney comes off as the docile polite Canadian as the boorish American tramples on him, which is a bad look for us.

The problem is if Carney is going to start getting into little sparring matches with Trump just to clear up a point on TV here and there that are largely meaningless he risks Trump having a hissy fit and doing something dumb policy-wise just to get back at us which would hurt Canada.  It would be better if the relationship doesn't go how the Trudeau-Trump relationship went if possible.  Diplomacy is a an art.

Carney is in a real bind, he's damned if he does/damned if he doesn't.  And hunched over he looks like Billy Bob Thorton from Sling Blade haha.  But even Carney he looked like Stephen Hawking i'd much prefer that over having a frat-boy DEI activist as our PM.

Yeah, its a tough position but one he had to expect.  This is where his lack of experience as a politician is going to hurt him. 

The correct answer probably would have been along the lines of "we can always second guess the past but we're here now to pick a brighter future and we must rise to the challenge of creating a better future for all of us, and i'm confident that we have the skill here today to do that".  

Doesn't refute, (doesn't agree) and puts trump on the spot to make a deal this conference least he look like someone who CAN"T make a better future.  It boosts him without simping or praising per se. 

Or even more simple, "I wasn't here for any of that but i'm here now and lets make sure in years to come they say 'those guys got  it right". 

 

Ya gotta be able to pull those out on the fly if you want to be prime minister.

Not sure what you watched but it's certainly not the aura Carney conveys.  The guy is a seasoned pro with the self confidence and level of arrogance to match that Trump and other leaders can see, relate to, and appreciate.  Look no further than Trump's comments of Carney.  He's a great look for Canada right now, and will get a good deal for Canada when the time is right.

The papers are full of articles about it, People are talking about it all over the net, it is absolutely the aura that he portrayed in that particular case. Or at least the vast vast vast vast majority of people think so. Which as you can imagine is a lot

That's a problem, he isn't. This is his very first job in politics. He is never had to do what he is doing now before. And it shows, and not just in this one case. And to top it all off trump is eating his breakfast and his lunch. We took all our tariffs off for the most part, trump has increased his. And then trump let kearney give him a huge introduction and say how the G7 couldn't work without trump's leadership, and then trump's like yeah thanks and then left the conference.

Make no mistake, this is not a good look in the slightest, he looks horrible. And I'm not just talking about his posture

He may yet grow into the role but right now he is not doing well
