CdnFox Posted 21 hours ago Report Posted 21 hours ago Trump says ‘was mistake’ to boot Putin from G7 as he trashes Trudeau with Canadian PM Carney standing beside him | The Independent President falsely accuses Trudeau of ousting Russia from the G8 in 2014 even though he would not become Canada’s head of government until November 2015 So this is going well. 🙃 And why the hell does Carney look like a question mark, hunched over like that? He looks like he's trying to cosplay the Riddler from batman. FFS man, you're representing the country, posture! Aristides Posted 21 hours ago Report Posted 21 hours ago Dipshit doesn't even know Harper was PM when Russia was turfed. Either that or he flat out knows he is lying. Carney doesn't need to say anything. 2 Quote

Especially all hunched over like that, it doesn't look good. Sure, trump says all kinds of crazy crap but if he's not even willing to step up and open his mouth in front of the guy and he looks very weak and that he's just doing what he's told. 1 1 Quote There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data

What exactly are you talking about? Carney wisely said nothing as the idi0t babbled on about the G8. Looking weak.... be serious. He looked and is coming across as a more than capable leader, which is exactly what the country thought he'd be and why he was voted in. A true embarrassment would be watching PP represent Canada while looking like a deer in the headlights. 1 Quote

Nope, just let Trump keep digging. No point in picking a fight with him, that's what Trudeau would have done. Every reliable news outlet will pick up on it anyway and the Trump ass kisser networks just use anything Carney might of said against him. There is nothing in it for us to have Carney make Trump look as ignorant as he is. We went down that road with Trudeau. Edited 17 hours ago by Aristides 1 Quote

He better come out of this summit with a deal as everyone expects or he's really going to look horrible. 1 Quote There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data

I get your point. In principle I agree. Carney comes off as the docile polite Canadian as the boorish American tramples on him, which is a bad look for us. The problem is if Carney is going to start getting into little sparring matches with Trump just to clear up a point on TV here and there that are largely meaningless he risks Trump having a hissy fit and doing something dumb policy-wise just to get back at us which would hurt Canada. It would be better if the relationship doesn't go how the Trudeau-Trump relationship went if possible. Diplomacy is a an art. Carney is in a real bind, he's damned if he does/damned if he doesn't. And hunched over he looks like Billy Bob Thorton from Sling Blade haha. But even Carney he looked like Stephen Hawking i'd much prefer that over having a frat-boy DEI activist as our PM. 2 Quote "All generalizations are false, including this one." - Mark Twain Partisanship is a disease of the intellect.

Yeah, its a tough position but one he had to expect. This is where his lack of experience as a politician is going to hurt him. The correct answer probably would have been along the lines of "we can always second guess the past but we're here now to pick a brighter future and we must rise to the challenge of creating a better future for all of us, and i'm confident that we have the skill here today to do that". Doesn't refute, (doesn't agree) and puts trump on the spot to make a deal this conference least he look like someone who CAN"T make a better future. It boosts him without simping or praising per se. Or even more simple, "I wasn't here for any of that but i'm here now and lets make sure in years to come they say 'those guys got it right". Ya gotta be able to pull those out on the fly if you want to be prime minister. 1 Quote There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data
