CdnFox Posted March 25 Report Posted March 25 The criteria is out for the leadership debates. Parties must meet at least two of these three conditions in order to participate: Federal leaders' debates scheduled for April 16-17 in Montreal | CBC News The commission's first requirement is that the leader's party had to be represented in the House of Commons by at least one MP before dissolution. The second is that the leader's party must be polling at least four per cent 28 days before voting day. The commission says voting intention will be determined using the most recent results of "leading national public opinion polling organizations." The third is that the party must have candidates nominated in at least 90 per cent of federal ridings across Canada, also 28 days before the federal election. Based on the current polling, the PPC is going to miss At least the first two. I wonder what Mad Max is going to do now. He's really starting to become irrelevant Quote There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data
Aristides Posted March 25 Report Posted March 25 PPC was a joke to begin with and Trump's attack on Canada is its death sentence. 1 Quote
CdnFox Posted March 25 Author Report Posted March 25 Yeah, as much as I like having multiple parties and different perspectives because I think it keeps everyone on us, that party just was way too one note to be worth bothering with. Honestly if Max wanted to be relevant moving forward he would look at an organization the structure like the tea party or something or some species of media influencer. Instead of trying to get elected he would promote or score candidates who were running for various parties and try to make his money through media and advertising and that kind of stuff rather than pretending to be a political party. He probably have more impact Quote There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data
PIK Posted March 25 Report Posted March 25 (edited) Trump hates the liberals, doesn't matter who is in charge. I'm glad PP is not into trying to upset Trump. He is willing to work with him, unlike the libs. For carney to say, I'll call him when he shows us respect, that is DUMB. And of course carney lied again. Seems the ambassador has been trying to set up a meeting and Trump is not taking his calls. Edited March 25 by PIK Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.

Poilievre is on the right track by suggesting we focus on improving art business investment here in Canada, wiping out inter provincial trade issues, getting the housing market back to building homes, and improving trade relations with other countries. There's absolutely no chance in the universe we are ever going to be able to be completely independent of the American Market, it's just too big. But if we can reduce it by 50% of our economy to 25% of our econ omy and its ability to threaten us nose dives considerably. And that is an achievable goal. At that level we can hurt them as much as they hurt us and that helps keep us safe. Trying to 'out trump trump' by being excessively confrontational is a losing game. You have to stand up to him and you have to be firm and punch back when he punches but the best thing you can do is let him wither on the vine.
