JVDZD Posted February 16 Report Posted February 16 Be it resolved that Trump wants to look good. He has asked for help fulfilling his promise to strengthen the border. If we allow any and all reasonable defensive facilities they deem nessecary, through out the north we will assist them, i. Exchange we get included under their iron dome. Trump takes border protection to a whole new level.. Trump looks good, HUGE. For tarrifs that's another of his promises, protect American jobs... tarrifs do that. Are they inflationary, yes but to the benefit of better wages in America, more industry. Tarrifs support local businesses, not international corps. We play the game and learn from them debelope inter provincial trade and seek new markets, use the Internet. Quote
Queenmandy85 Posted February 16 Report Posted February 16 Welcome to the forum. I'm still trying to find my way through the world situation. I knew President Trump would win the election before he even announced his intentions, but I did not force how unconventional he would be. I look forward to reading your future posts. 🙂 Quote A Conservative stands for God, King and Country
Aristides Posted February 16 Report Posted February 16 The last time he introduced metal tariffs they lasted less than a year. Jobs lost in industries that used the metals outnumbered those that produced it by 10 to 1. I don't know how this time will be any different. Quote
herbie Posted February 17 Report Posted February 17 Well you can't source ore, build smelters and factories to produce products within one electoral term, and you sure as hell don't gain business favour when the whole economy runs on the lowest cost of production either. An entirely fraudulent attempt to sell tariffs to the stupid that tout 'globalism' as an evil conspiracy. 1 Quote
