Levesque, I never met/talked in person. I saw him once in the National Assembly, clicking for a lighter.

I recall seeing Trudeau Snr in Alberta. And he said, "We Canadians get along."

I have had the immense pleasure of having spent time in every Province and Territory.

I can, in my experiences there, say that we do get along with the exception of Quebec.  Quebecers get along with Quebecers with the exception of the small areas dependant on tourism where they smile at you while disliking you for not being French (but do like your money).

I also remember Parizeau, Bouchard, Barbeau FLQ aand PArti Quebeois and every member of Bloc Quebecois that sits in todays parliament not for Canada but for Interdependent Quebec.

So no, we do not all get along.

I remember people chalking FLQ on the sidewalks outside our school. This was a grade school, mind. And whoever it was kept returning to do it again after the old one was washed off. 

We did not get along with the 'frenchies'. They didn't go to our schools and did not live on our streets or neighbourhoods. When we moved to Ottawa my mother said how great it was to hear English again on busy downtown streets. Then Trudeau came out with his bilingualism rules for the public service and tens of thousands of Quebecers moved here to take those jobs. And we still don't get along.

We get along.

 

Having spent quite a lot of time in Newfoundland, the best Newfie jokes came from Newfies themselves. 

Newfies get along with everyone (except Quebecers LOL)

People from out West do not get along with folks from Ontario.

Ontarians do not get along with anyone...even themselves LOL

No one gets along with Quebecers except Quebecers.
