I’m definitely not believing the claim that they put five air marshals on every flight she takes. 

For anybody who cares, here's what the Quiet Skies program is. As expected, we're getting a sliver of the story. 

Quiet Skies is not any kind of planned, permanent list. It's essentially spot checks that trigger temporary observation. It's for people who ARE NOT on any terrorist watch lists. 

TSA personnel are at airports, watching. They see something-- some behavioral trigger on their list (usually innocent) or some eyebrow raiser like leaving a in your gun carry on--and then afterward they observe that individual for a period of time/travel until they are cleared. 

I don't especially like the sound of this program (which dates back to at least 2018) but it's not any sort of retribution. Any one of us could could do something to trigger a period of scrutiny under this program.

100%, and when I heard her talk about it the first time, she did mention that it was supposed to only be a random, 1-time thing that could happen to anyone. But it is happening every single time she flies in the US, and was about 4 or 5 times last I saw her talk. To her husband as well. Every time.

The description says that people who are observed are in the list for some undisclosed period of time. Chances are, she travels frequently and would have been observed multiple times.

If she is, in fact,on the Quiet Skies list, I have no idea what she or her husband did to get on the list, nor how long the observation period is, no how either of those compare to what's typical for the program, but it's at least explainable and finite. She hasn't been added to any terrorist watch list. 

I think this is probably not a good program on constitutional grounds, and I'm deeply skeptical that it's of any value. I'd need some compelling data to change my mind on that. 

If Gabbard wants to make a run at it, fine, but I'm even more skeptical of unfounded claims that this is political retribution.

If they were anonymous, no one anywhere would know who gave that information. The Air Marshal National Council never said that they were anonymous, they referred to them as "whistleblowers".

The term whistleblower doesn't exclusively apply to anonymous or named persons, but they normally aren't anonymous. The term is specific to people who come forward with enough evidence to make a serious claim, and the Air Marshal National Council wouldn't just release a statement like that without sufficient evidence to know that it's true.

2 more things:

1. The TSA/DHS is apparently trying to find out who the whistleblowers are. 

2. This has apparently happened to Harris on 8 flights.

So, there's a 99% chance this is all true, and if so, is this yet another dep't that the Dems have weaponized, or just part of one of the Dep'ts we already knew about? I don't really know if the DHS and/or TSA are part of other departments.

Like... I get the program basics... but still, there has to be some common sense here. Tulsi Gabbard? Really?

If they are doing it to her, even if it is based on some rules of behavior, then clearly those behavioral rules are flawed. 

Not only flawed there, but then to follow her around for 8 flights?! 8?! 

Just the waste of resources on such stupidity should be an outrage alone.
