In other words, after being overbilled by these companies, instead of getting the money back....the victims end up paying for these companies' service improvements? Unbelievable! Quote
cybercoma Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 i've never read a single news article about the CRTC and said to myself, "good for them!" Am I the only one that suffers from this? Quote
wellandboy Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 The CRTC has to no moral or ethical right to keep this money from Canadians by using it for any other purpose other than return it by whatever means necessary to it's rightful owners. The arrogance of these people is unbounded. Quote

Oh what's that angry little peon....i mean consumer, you want the money back that you are rightfully owed? No i don't think so, but don't you worry your little head, big brother will take care of you. How much more blatantly wrong could this be? Quote

The arrogance of these people is unbounded. They spent the last 12 years learning from the Liberals. And it seems they were studying pretty hard. Wilber Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Looks like the CRTC has decided it is OK for the phone companies to overcharge you as long as they use the money to upgrade their own systems. What a bunch of useless twits. Quote "Never trust a man who has not a single redeeming vice". WSC
lonewolf Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 I sure hope the conservatives do something about this. Quote
betsy Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 There should be an inquiry! Bell already is in deep trouble about fraudulent phone scams...and CRTC knew of it! And then, this? Quote
Josh Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 If I'm not correct, this would fall under the jurisdiction of Bev Oda, the Minister of Heritage? If so, I must ask her- she's my MP, and I worked on her campaign. Quote

What a bunch of useless twits. Exactly what I was thinking. So the overcharged customers are paying to installa new infrastructure in places where there is no service. Plain outright theft. This is why companies are profit driven, so they can get a profit to pay for their expansion of service. These saving were passed right along to the consumer. F.I.T.A. Quote

I hope they do it..... Quote
Josh Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 I would hope she would at least outline what the Government proposes to do on this; she was the former head of the CRTC, so I would think she would find this appalling, and perhaps use some levrage to force some action. I'll see what I can do! Quote
