Canada must condemn both Hamas for its terrorist action last Saturday BUT also condemn Israelis terrorist action against defenseless people of Gaza. Canada must demand ceasefire and pressure Israelis to STOP its massacre of innocent women and chidden.

Yours is a good humane thought but, the sad fact is that Canada isn't listened to, respected, or even acknowledged on the world stage anymore.  Canada demanding  . . . . has about as much influence as Panama demanding . . .

I think Canada has more power than you think. Canada is among the G-7 and a member of NATO and a close ally to US.

Canada has tried to buy respect but with the present PM disrespected by virtually every world leader except the ones he's poured our tax $$ to (they just mock him and ask for more)  . . .

Trudeau has very little influence anywhere.  He's Canada's embarrassment . . .

Nope.  Justin put an end to that - hell they didn't even include him in that declaration letter they signed about the war that all the other allies signed.

Hamas has gone a little too far this time. I can't see Israel settling for anything less than regime change, and I can't see them leaving Gaza until it's a done deal. Israel isn't at war against Palestinians, they're at war against Hamas.

Honestly I don't think Israel is strong enough to quell Gaza while also defending their other borders. They would have went in day one with a plan, but they never had a plan and it shows. As Trump said, they were not prepared. And by the time they will be prepared, their neighbours and Hamas will be equally more prepared.

In the NDP is right, a peace of some sort will have to be made. Happens eventually in all conflicts. Though remains to be seen how much death each side will accept before they realize that.

Well we'll see. With a carrier task force off the coast any invader to isreal may find themselves outgunned pretty fast.  Israel isnt' known for losing wars.

Si vis paceum para bellum.   The only way there's going to be peace is to deal with gaza permanently and be ready to deal with anyone else who wants to pick a fight. You can never buy peace with capitulation  (yo, chamberline - staaaaaaarre)

Yeah, the situation in Israel requires thoughtful and careful thinking and language.

That's a perfect situation for Chuds to start Chudding.

You mean like Trudeau blaming Israel for a malfunctioning rocket from Islamic Jihad?

1. About the same as 'woke' I would guess.

So if 'chud' is the opposite of 'woke' does that mean everyone who opposes woke is a chud?

Because... that does kinda sound like you given your devotion to noble white knighting.

No it mustn't. And if Gaza were defenseless they would have already gone in after all the Hamas people.

Unfortunately, it's not defenseless. You might have known that from the thousands of rockets they fired at Israel already.
