The CNN Firings: Can They Become Relevant Again?

CNN has been jettisoning pedophiles, liars and scumbags like crazy over the past couple years and their ratings are still in the toilet. 

John Griffin and Rick Saleeby are the two producers there (for Cuomo and Tapper's shows) who were let go in the two weeks when Ghislaine Maxwell was being sentenced, and the pedo world was worried about a list of names being unleashed.

Jake Tapper - gone

Chris Cuomo - gone

Don Lemon - gone (from evening TV)

Jeffrey Toobin - Gone

Brian Stelter - gone

Jeff Zucker - gone

Lisa Ling - gone

That was literally the entire face of CNN 4 years ago. All gone.

CNN also had a huge round of layoffs in November when their ratings were down by 69% from the pervious year.

Now even MSNBC dwarfs them, and MSNBC is a racist shithole with belligerent, low IQ hosts like Joe Scarborough, Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid and Lawrence O'Donnell. 

Can CNN really risk alienating what few followers they still have by trying to become a real news network, or should they stay in their lane and just keep hiring new guys and firing them once their laundry list of lies gets to be too long?

CNN's self-inflicted wounds are just part of the much larger and continuing changes to the media landscape.  The old CNN can never come back if only because the old CNN audience is dead or dying soon.  Hard news is hardly a money-maker anymore...across the board.  Newsroom operations were on life support long before CNN tilted left.

Warner Bros - Discovery took on  a lot of debt to get the CNN brand, which is still widely recognized around the world.   Donald Trump only helped to postpone the inevitable decline and changes for CNN and other cable news outlets that now have to compete with many other media sources and distribution channels.

Ted Turner has watched his U.S. and worldwide media icon turn into a pile of crap (e.g. stock options)...sad really.   Bring on more "Fake news".

Actually, I agree with @bush_cheney2004, there was time at CNN, in the 90's, early 2000s, where it was news and less BIAS, then something happened, now it rivals in low IQ with the herd that you eat with. 

Quickly to remind you, that every time you label people, you need to be reminded it as to why MAGA is a fake, not only in Canada but in America, too. Remember, this is not about you, you are helping every time.
