Leftists are dumb. Another 7 trillion dollar spending bill to curb inflation? Because doing exactly the same thing that caused the inflation to begin with is going to solve it ?..

You must have sub 70 IQ to be a Democrat.

It's kind of important to show people who don't have access or the willfully ignorant the other side of what their state-run, corporate, and outright progaganda media are telling them about this bill. Here's some more:

Don't worry. The GOP at least made sure insulin hawkers could keep hosing diabetics. And made them refer to it as an Inflation Bill so a couple Dem climate deniers could be fooled.

Maybe you should invest in roubles or renminbi if the dollar turns to shit

But inflation doesn't bother you, right? Matter of priorities I guess.

These little procedural tiffs are what matters to the Progressive mind.  Lure the other side into arguing a bill bit the Prog can use to portray them as heartless is the scam.

But really it's just an argument over procedure. The Demonrats did the same thing with the Pact Act where they tried to paint republicans as heartless for questioning a bill that provided funds for sick vets but really the republicans were for the bill. They had even voted for it before the Dems tried to add pork. In truth the Republicans only  delayed the bill to try to amend it pork free.

With this insulin one it wasn't so much about the pork. A few of the dumber Republicans walked into a trap is all that happened here.

Here's how the insulin scam to pick a fight worked:

Quote

"In reality, the Dems wanted to break Senate rules to pass insulin pricing cap instead of going through regular order. They put this in a bill it wasn't allowed in, all for show."

Instead he suggested an alternative Republican price-capping measure that Democrats had rejected as too modest.

Similarly, Senate Minority Whip John Thune told reporters ahead of the vote that Democrats "wanted to tempt us to, I guess, vote against it."

The rule Johnson referred to was a decision by the Senate parliamentarian that the insulin cap, proposed by Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock, was not eligible to be considered under the same rules as the rest of the package.

The procedure in question is known as budget reconciliation, and allows certain financial measures to pass with 50 votes instead of 60. In this case most of the Democratic proposals bar the insulin one were allowed to proceed like that.

While they were correct that the measure was deemed ineligible under the 50-vote rules, neither Johnson nor Thune acknowledge that the measure could have been kept anyway had 10 Republicans wanted to support it.

Warnock pre-emptively laid the blame for the measure not passing with Republicans.

"The only way it doesn't pass is if folks on the other side of the aisle decide to block it," Warnock told The Washington Post.

Democrats had rejected an alternative price-capping measure proposed by Republicans as too modest.

So all the disgraceful waste listed at the other 2 links doesn't bother you, herb? Just the fact that some Republicans thought the insulin cap issue didn't belong in this particular bill...that's what bothers you. <_<

Obviously it was more important HOW it got passed than IF it got passed. You just stated exactly that.

Do you know the conditions in which inflation grows?

Yeah, I lived through a lifetime of it. My Dad used to bitch that Coke cost a nickel when he was a kid, this one I bought you costs a dime. So guess what, in a generation it's as much as $3.

Besides I was talking ENDS and MEANS. Sometimes you have to get sneaky to get around 18th century idiots who think coal mining is still a glorious career choice.

Ok, so once you can describe under what various conditions inflation grows, chime back in.

Everybody lived through it, few can do more than talk coke prices.
