that's not just the Liberals

that's every party

the MPs all have to vote along party lines too

if they don't

they never get any position of power or are thrown out of the party

unless they bring the leader down altogether

 

Canada has a crony political culture

it's not like America

where Congressmen and Senators don't have to vote with their leader or party

in Canada

the parties are run top-down

not ground-up

Canada has always been like this
