As I've said before, the opposition to nuclear power, both uranium and thorium, is an indictment on our educational system. The people most devoted to fighting global warming are right in their goal but are lacking the knowledge on how to achieve is. The physists are a small part of the movement. China and India are working hard to start production on thorium LIFTR reactors. Lets hope it is India that gets there first. There are huge projects in the West, notably in France, to develop nuclear fusion. They expect to have a workable plant in a couple of decades or so. At that point hopefully the West, at least, will be switching over to Fusion power. And if electrical batteries have been improved we can than power all our cars, trucks and buses from the power grid. But I expect we'll need Trump's wall, which is one of the reasons I don't object to him building one if he can.
