Army Guy Posted September 17, 2019 Report Posted September 17, 2019 Liberals announce that for this year 2018/ 2019 they will have a deficit of only 18 BIL, we should add them up just for shits and giggles.... https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/budget-2018-liberals-stay-the-course-on-spending-deficit-projected-at-18-1-billion-in-2018-19-1.3820431 Finance Minister Bill Morneau’s second budget projects shortfalls of $23 billion for 2016-17, $25.5 billion next year and $24.4 billion in 2018-19, https://globalnews.ca/news/3327930/federal-budget-2017-liberals-raising-ei-premiums-and-hiking-taxes-on-smokes-booze/ And now the liberals announce that they won't balance the budget until 2046...which they say is good news originally it was going to be 2051...Thats their best lie todate...how can we balance anything when were are spending on average 20 bil over …. How do liberals explain this....does anyone care that this debt is going to have to be paid by someone....us or our kids or their kids....It's time for the liberal party and all it's lying sacks of turd to go....we can't afford them any more.... 2 Quote We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.
QuebecOverCanada Posted September 17, 2019 Report Posted September 17, 2019 We will see a debt crisis, be it personal or governmental, in the next decade. Other industrial countries don't do better than us, except for some exceptions. Quote

That being said, corrections are a good thing, there's only one cure for moral hazard. Quote
Sagacious Posted September 18, 2019 Report Posted September 18, 2019 Promising billions in tax cuts is also expensive. They require large program cuts and will likely impact transfers and health spending at a time when age related costs are steadily rising. Federal revenue as a percentage of our GDP is already historically low. Quote

Trudeau specializes in such corruption, and makes no apology for it. Scheer's betting his campaign on more tax cuts; which, according to his plan have to equate to massive cuts to other programs. Our federal revenue as compared to GDP is, historically speaking, very low. More tax cuts are not warranted right now. That plan is irresponsible. We need to keep current tax levels and control spending. Unfortunately, nobody is arguing for that route. Quote
Army Guy Posted September 19, 2019 Author Report Posted September 19, 2019 According to the liberals our economy is booming, in fact it grew 27 bil last year alone...wait a minute the liberals blew that 27 bil plus managed to spend well over 14 bil more....putting us into a deficit…. Mad MAX is talking about slashing and controlling spending.... Quote We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful.
