You make it sound like the liberals won that election because they they had the best people and best platform.........But that was not what happened at all, or have you forgotten the ANYTHING but harper campaign, where Liberals, NDP, and Green threw in with each other to get Harper out.....They got elected because NDP and Green votes went to the liberals, to ensure a Con defeat....I wonder if that is going to happen next election.....not on your life.....liberals are masters at the art of the promise, and not keeping them, shit the PM might as well be call himself Trump for all the lies and broken promises he has spewed......and the contempt thing, Did they not give parliament the info they requested, and is the liberals any further in finishing the replacement project for the F-18's.....How about solving the procurement mess....No....what have they done....well they make a great effort to point out errors and mistakes in the CONs previous government.....but really that is all they got, except broken promises....and lies....lots of lies.....Man it might be nice if they the liberals could point to some of their own successes. instead of looking back and blaming every problem we have as a nation on the cons..... 1 Quote We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. No they didn't provide the required info. to parliament, not only on F 35 costs but also on Afghan detainees, hence the contempt finding. And on planes the Liberals plan to begin taking delivery of the interim new fangled F 18's in 2019. Quote

And on planes the Liberals plan to begin taking delivery of the interim new fangled F 18's in 2019. Contempt was with the F-35 costs , and yes they did provide parliament and the public the final costs, hence the costing out to 42 years and the jacked price tag....Just a note however, it has only been the F-35 that had to be costed out to 42 years, no other purchase was ever done out to that length of time.....not even the new interim F-18E projectwas costed out to 42 years.....in fact i don't think the costing has ever been made public.............the Afghan detainees has already been investigated and closed with no new info brought forward. Now has someone brought forward new evidence, ..... The purchase of any interim aircraft is not solving the F-18 purchase program, but delaying it by years, these interim aircraft are not replacing anything but rather allowing a massive delay in order to keep one of his promises "NO F-35" maybe the only he keeps......in addition to adding to an already hefty price tag for aircraft we do not need nor can afford.........according to the General in charge of the Airforce...SO no they have accomplished nothing except spend money on something we do not need, when so many other projects lack funding..... The contempt issue occurred due to the government's failure to provide info. in a timely fashion as requested by opposition parties, and ordered to be forwarded by the speaker. Harper is lucky the government was shut down over a failed budget forcing an election because if the finding had of been confirmed by a vote in the house he would have found himself the PM but not allowed to enter the house. A little embarrassing! Hopefully we can get to a proper competition for new planes rather than just opting for the first thing that comes along. So much cost, so few engines. Quote

So your saying the Info was passed on by Harpers government just a little late, i mean the moon did not loose orbit or anything like that right.....it was after all a game that not only the cons played but also the liberals and NDP..........like the interim F-18's not priced out to 42 years, in fact not priced out at all ........but then again it is the liberals right...... Why a competition ? There was not one for the interim F-18 was there ?....and how can there be one when the PM clearly stated there will be no F-35 for Canada.....how is that anything near a competition or being fair......Or maybe it is just to frigging hard for any Canadian party to buy something for the military.... No, it was not a game, the opposition parties have a right to see those files, they are required to vote on them so they need to know what's in them. Harper tried to thwart that process and got his knuckles rapped. The first PM to ever "achieve" that BTW. And the PM has said the F-35 could be included in the competition. Quote

SO your saying the need to change the rules for this competition( pricing everything out to 42 years) had nothing to do with the liberals or NDP. And now that it is law, where is the Liberal costing for the interim F-18 E , perhaps you can give me a source.....So they the liberals are just as guilty of breaking all the rules as the Cons where.....they jammed this purchased down so fast, nobody even knows the price, or costing......and yet there has been a contract signed.....lets see no competition, No costing as per the law, no fuc**** all really, all on an aircraft we do not need, ( more liberal lies) they liberals changed the way aircraft are reported, they invented a crisis to but them right away, which even DND said they did not need them until 2025....And with a screwed up purchase system, who is even going to notice..... He may have recently changed his mind, but tell me that was not a campaign promise....the interim aircraft where purchased so he did not have to make that purchase ever....he may lie alot but he is not stupid.... The costs are projected to be between 5 and 7 billion, preliminary figures the sources for which are the DND and US congressional budget figures. The Trump card could havd an effect. And no, the Liberals were not as guilty as the Cons., which is why they have not been found in contempt. Quote

Still stuck on the contempt thing.....That is projected costs....nothing has been made public, to the actual costing out to 42 years , just like the F-35 had to be because it is the law....5 to 7 bil is not even close.....and the other gaffs are not important because the liberals are your team is that it.... 1 Quote We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. Look if you are going to hold the Harper government to the standards of the law then we should also expect the liberals to do the same. The old well "they did it first" or they did that does not fly, or should not fly we should be holding our governments whom ever they are to higher standards.....there are no teams, only a government who's prime concern should be the country, and it's people.... If you think that the quoted price is the end result your crazy.....they have not been costed out over 42 years as the F-35 program was, from a 9 bil price tag to a 46 bil over their life time....The Costing that the F-35 was forced to submit included much of what was already accounted for in DND O&M budget, so it was costed twice.....your 4 to 5 bil price tag could grow as high as 10 to 15 over 42 years.....but none of that was discussed, nor has it been made open to the public..... Trust me I did not like what the Cons did to our military , despite their claims of being military friendly.....the facts show another tale.....I had placed all my hopes on the liberal government to fix all of that or at least start the ball rolling.....The liberals have been another disappointment , with broken promises littering the landscape as far as the eye can see....and after 25 years DND has really not pushed ahead in equipment purchases.....but rather declined....Today our military is in the later stages of rusting out, and it rarely gets a mention.....soon Canada will have to decide to face a huge bill or close its DND forever.... 1 Quote We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful.
