GreenS Posted February 10, 2017 Report Posted February 10, 2017 Do you really think the syrian Kurdish issue is one of the “key” factors in maintaining Syrian statehood and contributing to the stabilization of the situation in the entire Middle East?! http://www.mo4ch.com/moscow-mediates-talks-between-assad-syrian-kurds-russian-fm-2/ Quote
CITIZEN_2015 Posted May 31 Report Posted May 31 As far as Kurdistan province of Iran is concerned, this is an inseparable part of Iran. No compromise on that. But they can enjoy autonomy within a free Iran (free from Islamic occupiers). Quote

It is every minority right to speak their own language, preserve their culture and customs (not different from Persians) and run their own provincial affairs. Persian empire has a 25 century common history. Shed blood to preserve our independence. Mahsa Amini died for Iran, not Kurdistan. she is the daughter of Iran and the entire country rose up to avenge her death from Islamic occupiers. Quote

Meanwhile Kurds were promised a country of their own following WW1. 1 Quote I said now watch what you say they'll be calling you a radical, a liberal, oh fanatical criminal

Like Reagan said, a good Russian historian is the one who predicts the past accurately!!! Persian empire was a strong empire till 650 AC (till 1400 years ago). The last pre-Islamic empire was Sassanian who were invaded by barbaric Arabs then. So 1000 years here. in 600 AC the empire extended from India to Greece. After collapsing to Arabs, Persians drove the animal out and got their independence in about 800 or 900 AC. There were Persian empires after too like Kharazmshahian (fallen later by Mongols) and Safavian (also powerful empire ruling a large area only 400 or 500 years ago. Even the Afshar headed by Nader shah was very powerful only 300 years ago. No totally false. Kurds were always within Persian empire past 2500 years. In fact they are the original Aryans settled in Iran. Quote

They were promised a country yes, but contrary to what you said earlier they never was an independent Kurdistan country or even state but a province as part of imperial Persia pr Iran. Quote

I never said there was. And contrary to what you think there is no Persian Empire to say otherwise. Just a Iran's POS regime and the dictatorship hoping to replace it. SpankyMcFarland Posted June 4 Report Posted June 4 I think the quality of life in an SDF-run entity would be better than in the rest of Syria but countries everywhere jealously guard their territory. We forget how transient their borders are. Quote ‘How small we make our worlds. Gather them in, tighten them up into little castles of fear.’
Nationalist Posted June 6 Report Posted June 6 Who cares? Fighting in the Middle East has proven to be futile. They all hate each other and despise Isreal. Stop trying to impose things on these people and let the Sunis, Shia, and assorted Russians and Poles fight it out. Quote Its so lonely in m'saddle since m'horse died.
