August1991 Posted November 10, 2004 Report Posted November 10, 2004 You gotta love Americans. Whadda country. We are also now accepting donations via PayPal. All profits beyond our basic expenses will be sent to international charities.Note that they say profits will be donated. On a completely unrelated point, this is the road sign you see when you leave Brooklyn to cross over to Manhattan: Road Sign Whatta country.
maplesyrup Posted November 10, 2004 Author Report Posted November 10, 2004 This exodus from the US could could have major benefits for Canada if a lot of progressive US citizens and people who are against war move up to Canada. caesar Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 This exodus from the US could could have major benefits for Canada if a lot of progressive US citizens and people who are against war move up to Canada. Why would it help us??? We need those Americans who think as we do to stay in the USA and fight back. We need a friendlier America and we need those Americans to stay in their own country and make those changes.
maplesyrup Posted November 11, 2004 Author Report Posted November 11, 2004 No, people should be free to move to where they wish to live. The US is doomed. I thought you believed in freedom. caesar Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 Why should anyone be free to move where they wish; would you like terrorists moving here to Canada. Hopefully, these Americans will stay in their own country and turn around its policies. The USA is not doomed. Bush has put a large dent in their credibility and trustworthiness but it can still be redeemed. American people are generally good people. Moving into another country is not a"right" It is our right to accept only those people who can contribute to Canada. Americans who want a free world should stay and fix their own country.
maplesyrup Posted November 11, 2004 Author Report Posted November 11, 2004 Even Texas is sorry. An education isn't how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It's being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don't. Anatole France
