Keepitsimple Posted March 16, 2015 Report Posted March 16, 2015 (edited) Remember those "firefights" - Canadian soldiers returning fire near the frontlines in Iraq? Remember how the CBC and others made a big deal of how Obama said there were no US troops involved in combat - so why are Canadians there? Even today, the drumbeat goes on that Harper misled Parliament....that he lied. Well. turns out it was Obama who was the real liar. An article that appeared in The Star print edition game from a US paper - and here's what it said: U.S. military advisors are also on the scene, some outfitted in Kurdish peshmerga uniforms, though "Jack" and others encountered on the front lines declined to be interviewed. On Guard for Thee Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 As the old adage goes, the first casualty of war is truth. Apparently politics can wreak a bit of havoc on it as well. Quote

Topaz Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 BC, EXACTLY is the Mission and why is the Iraq, to keep the war going, since most the NATO have supplied ISIS with weapons. Why? Could it be to destroy the area and killed as many people in the ME, so NATO countries, especially the USA can get the natural resources and to control and setup its friendly government. Russia, Syria, North Korea and China are still on the list but the ME is the first on the agenda. After Bill C-51 is law, I won't be able to say such things online, without a knock on my door. Quote

Could it be to destroy the area and killed as many people in the ME.... Nope....there are far easier ways to do that if killing as many people as possible was the goal. The tactical mission is close air support and destruction of ISIS assets, lines of communication, logistics, etc. Strike missions against fixed and moving targets requires forward controllers, designators, and real-time eyes on the ground. That's why anybody who understands what the mission is would not be fooled by political rhetoric ("lies"). Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

PIK Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 Topaz, you need to read a article by Anthony Furey, called Harper Derangement Syndrome epidemic. You might learn something or at least sleep at nite. Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.
GostHacked Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) Topaz, you need to read a article by Anthony Furey, called Harper Derangement Syndrome epidemic. You might learn something or at least sleep at nite. Harper brought it on himself. If he was not leading the country in the right direction then we'd have no problem. But because of constant influence from, and obligations to other nation states in organizations like NATO we go along to get along. Canada is a follower, the UK is our master. I would also point to John Key in New Zealand who recently implemented similar security measures. I seriously think many need to see what is going on in other commonwealth nations to undertand there is a concerted effort to bring all these nations in line with a streamlines intelligence and police apparatus. All while working with each other to accomplish just that. Edited March 17, 2015 by GostHacked Quote
