guyser Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Give yourself a shake.I did, it felt good ! Using a private source outside the authorized government IT personnel - and the spouse of the Deputy Chief of Staff to boot.....is not what all politico's do. It's corruption - to cover up more corruption. And yet....in the interview on 1010 Talk the woman IT pr said she has ben hired by almost every Muni, City and the Feds to wipe clean computers after they leave office. They all do it. Quote
Ash74 Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 I think it is likely that Dalton did know but his staf will never admit it. He likely suspected or gave a subtle hint. The people that did give the order will never admit He knew so here we are. End of the day the Ontario Liberals spent 1.1 billion on cancelling two gas plants to buy seats in that election. 1.1 billion that could have gone to health care, education, tax cuts, debt, etc, etc but no it was spent on buying an election. The irony is that if Dalton had lost the election he would have been remembered with a better legacy than the one he will be remembered for. Quote “Show me a young Conservative and I'll show you someone with no heart. Show me an old Liberal and I'll show you someone with no brains.”― Winston S. Churchill There is no worse tyranny than to force a man to pay for what he does not want merely because you think it would be good for him. –Robert Heinlein

More expensive electricity? Close to the most expensive public servants on the planet? Hundred thousand dollar cops? Quote It is an inverted moral calculus that tries to persuade the world to demonize one state that tries its civilized best to abide in a difficult time and place, and rides merrily by the examples and practices of dozens of states and leaderships that drop into brutality every day without a twinge of regret or a whisper of condemnation. - Rex Murphy

Hundred thousand dollar cops? Please don't mistake my opinions towards The Ontario Liberal Party. I despise the way they have run this province into the ground and continue to do so. The Conservatives let us down by not replacing Hudak after the first time he lost to McGuinty. We all have 3 and a half years to deal with this bunch. I really feel sorry for the next government that takes over cause it is going to take a Mike Harris on steroids to get things under control Quote “Show me a young Conservative and I'll show you someone with no heart. guyser Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 Yup, those COnservatives were even worse. Amazing isn't it? Quote
PIK Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 Don't blame hudak blame the people that voted for the liberals. Everything hudak said about cutting jobs, is happening right now as we speak. Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.

guyser Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 Don't blame hudakOk...I blame the advisor who advised him then. Or Hudak, I guess he didnt have to listen to him and could have gone off script and won. The advisor...Hudak...hmmmm Quote
guyser Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 Please, how have the provincial Conservatives been worse than the Libs?Oh thats easy, the PC's had a win sitting in their lap , and then they stood up and whooops....they dropped the win and lost, soundly and convincingly. Quote
PIK Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 Because the voter is stupid guyser. Look at tory, the voter freak over a few million for faith based schools. That would have been better then the billions lost since that election. We could be on the way to recovery right now instead of a downward spiral for another 4 yrs. guyser Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 Because the voter is stupid guyser. Some are some arent. Whats really stupid is how the PC's hgad a wide open net and all they had to do was pay attention and push it in. But nope, they tripped over their own feet and lost. Look at tory, the voter freak over a few million for faith based schools. That would have been better then the billions lost since that election. guyser Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 So, again, you have no valid points as to how the Cons are worse than the Libs.Oh I see, you havent a clue about elections and platforms and all that. Well ok.....lets walk thru it, I will be brief In late summer the writ was dropped, and that meant we were to have an election soon. The Liberals had scandal upon scandal and should have been a cakewalk for the other relevant party the PC's to win. Then the platforms came out, one of them (guess who) included a monumentally stupid position to get rid of a 100 thou civil servants /public workers. That next sound was the same party going "ow ow ow...I just shot myself in the foot!" Then the people voted and the PC's who should have been a shoe-in were not only defeated but resoundingly so. And that is how the PCs were worse than the Liberals . Not hard to figure out.......for most people that is. Quote

Never assume I guess. I don't disagree. The PC's ran a terrible campaign. Hudak did not come across as sincere and he made the mistake of telling the truth to the voters. That is a huge no no in Ontario. The P.C.'s lost the election and the people of Ontario just lost.. Quote “Show me a young Conservative and I'll show you someone with no heart. His mistake wasn't that he told the truth.....that was what people wanted to hear (See Rob "Stop the Gravy Train" Ford)...his mistake was he tried a stupid slogan "The public unions are to blame.... so I'll fix 'em good." He stated a short-term goal that was 1) economically absurd which pissed off the budget-hawks and 2) divisive among non-union empathetic folks who saw it for what it was.....abusive rhetoric....and turned their back on it. Hudak was stupid....period. He had a non-caring edge to him. He was blathering on about cutting 100,000 jobs.......instead of saying that the Liberals had bloated government by adding 300,000 people to the payroll - but that reducing that back to a reasonable number has a consequence - because every job has a face - and a family. That's why we "have to do it smartly - by attrition.....by providing people with options - by having a plan....blah, blah, blah. He didn't have to throw out that stupid number......nor did he have to throw out that other number - the million jobs. The man was stupid and now we're all paying for it - literally. That sums it up nicely....except for the notion we wouldn't be paying for it either way......maybe more cancellation costs....we certainly wouldn't be paying less. Hudak misread the collective angst.....he should've focussed on gov't record than threatening people.....but I'm sure his handlers told him the rabble can't understand ORNGE malfeasance but they sure can hate Sunshine list faces making 20k$ in overtime they can't. Misread. Quote
