Auditor General Paints Bleak Picture of Liberal Fiscal Incompetence on

If Ontarians had only elected Tim Hudak as premier, you would have 1 MILLION new jobs today.

Yes Hudak (must be a hard rule to follow when discussing G.W. LOL) doomed us to four more years of the Liberals. Terrible election strategy

He should have never been leader of the P.C. party

The "Ontario Pension Plan" was conceived as a two pronged political ploy:

1) to distract from the LIberals' complete and utter financial incompetence, if not corruption

2) a stick to beat the federal government and till the earth for their Liberal cousins in the federal election

Unfortunately for Wynne, the Auditor General has thrown a grenade into the mix, exposing what sane individuals already knew.......and if Trudeau partners with Wynne in Ontario, he'll be tarred with the same Tax, Spend and Debt ideology that Wynne has made infamous.

In reality though, the Federal Conservatives will address improving the CPP - when the time is right.....not when everyone's fighting to keep their heads above water.

She was executive assistant to CEO. Would she have access to the gov't balance sheet shenanigans in that role?

Don't know what the rating is there, but the executive assistant in CRA (as opposed to administrative assistant) would be in on everything an executive does, and would speak in his or her name, keep close watch on what was happening with every file, run meetings, prod managers who were late with reports or budgets, and generally run roughshod over everyone lower than that executive if they were of a mind to. This is a pretty high level position within the federal government, and the higher the executive, the higher level the EA.

Seems it would give her a better grasp on operations than the Minister.

The Minister is a lawyer and a politician.

Was it not the chief of staff and executive assistants that purged the computers for the last premier while he claimed no knowledge of it.

Smart meters are a stupid idea. A billion over budget? Taxpayers get the shaft again.

The beginning of the smart meters you could save money. We just started doing our laundry at night.

Than blitz it on the weekends.

Now it really does not matter.

The latest claim it was never meant to cut costs is just yet another game the Liberals have played on the people of this province again

It was never meant to save money for you, it was to decrease import costs for the IESO and prevent even further increases. So just like the gov't says a lessened funding to a program is still an increase, a lessened cost to a program is a saving.......morals, scruples and all that.

That's not what they told us, is it? Crooks. Billions down the drain. Wasted. Again and again.

No it worked....then became uneeded once energy intensive industry shutdown. If it comes back, especially if we stay at .75 US, we'll really need it with Pickering nuke plants shutting down.

How are smart meters going to have an impact on industry use? The point of the smart meters was to allow individuals to reschedule their energy intensive activities to lower priced times so the peak periods wouldn't be quite so bad but the prices mean there's really no point to that.

It is a failed policy that is being kept alive fo the sake of politics. We are now paying the producers NOT to create more power so we do not have to sell it at a loss to Quebec or the States. But we keep building more windmills. At some point it stops being incompetence and starts becoming criminal.

The Liberals won a majority. I would love to know how many that voted for them would have done so if they knew it would lead to a majority.

Oh and the day they run away for a nice break till February our noble Liberal government drops another bag of flaming @$#& on our door step in the form of the Pan-Am games. Expenses and budgets have blown threw the roof for the fine friends of your local Liberal MPP.

But get ready cause a carbon tax is next. Tax hikes are how the Liberals celebrate a election win. That and blaming somebody else for why there is a tax hike.

Of course it will all be Stephen Harper's fault for not paying them enough in transfer payments despite the 1.25 billion increase.

That is enough to NOT build another gas plant with enough change to loan the MARS program another couple million.

Yes we keep piling onto the failed policy of the Harris/Eves era. No balls to say it was wrong and tear it down

That was the gamble made and failed. Locking into contracts with private entities in an "open" market, which you hold the public management accountable for. If it didn't cost me and I wasn't selfish I would love the market float free and watch the price you'd actually pay and see what you think then.

At some point it stops being incompetence and starts becoming criminal.

You say tomato.....I say its Politics 101....never undue your predecessor....just blame it and pile more crap onto it hoping it'll work itself out without a spit of knowledge if it will happen. See any gov't "scandal" and that's what you'll find.....no criminals, just cowards and incompetents.
