Bryan Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 No, but you can have an awful lot more than we have now. We certainly have a long way to go, but there's more transparency now than there has ever been in our history. It's the extra transparency that gives us glimpses into things we never knew anything at all about that makes us feel like there's more secrecy. Before we were blissfully unaware of what we didn't know, now we know a little bit about a lot more things -- just enough to make us want to know more. Quote
Argus Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 You are misinformed. How can you be against a compassionate, inclusive world? If you dissaprove of that world so much you're willing to kill and die to change it. The history of man is the history of the builders and the destroyers. The problem is it takes a long time to build something but very little time to knock it down. The destroyers are still out there. In fact, they make up the bulk of humanity outside the West. I'm seeing that it will be again the job of the public education system to teach kids what compassion and an inclusive society looks like. We need to use public education to show kids what an inclusive society looks, feels, and sounds like. People don't realize that public education is MUCH more than academics. Changing the world to be more inclusive and to celebrate diversity should become the main goal of public education. Quote Thankful to have become a free thinker.

You have insulted the poster with your 2nd statement. You could just as easily have commented with the first statement and let it go. You chose to add your 2nd statement so you could insult the poster. What was the purpose in insulting the poster? I wasn't insulting the poster. I was pointing out that he's ascribing something to me which I never said, something he either made up or has such fundamentally poor reading skills as to have gleaned it somehow from what I DID write. So then, if he made it up, I was actually being generous. If he didn't then I was being accurate. If you haven't figured it out yet, when people say I am this or that or opposed to this or that, they had damned well better have something to support themselves. That includes you. I'm still waiting for that list of racist statements you were going to supply. What would you like, a report on the high level of illiteracy in Canada, various reports on the increasingly failing math grades among Canadian kids? History isn't even taught any more in most schools.
