It`s the wing who want to weaken our country and who made these weak immigration polocies to begin with that let these people families into the country in the first place.

What a maroon.....

Heres a little shut up stock for you. Harpers CPC govt has increased the number for at least the last 4 years.

So should there be a 'right' in the space between 'It's the..' and the 'wing who want to weaken our country' ?

Uh oh...tripped again. Watch out for dustballs.

Alot of emotion here, as we have pers from this unit doing cermonial guard in ottawa....I'm hoping the government takes a pause and thinks before they act...I'm sure that soon DND will not be a hard target, i just hope the bad guys remain focused on DND instead of taking on other soft targets....

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

Canadian Embassy in Washington is apparently on lockdown.

That's natural and DHS is increasing alert levels....Likewise the US military/NORAD.

I suggest a hotline be set up so citizens can report suspicious Muslims to the proper authorites so they can be fully investigated for evidence of Jihad. if evidence is found, citizen stripped and have them shipped out of Canada.

You have got to be trolling… you can't possibly be real… thats right let idiots report hundreds of thousands of muslims as terrorists nothing like overloading your security apparatus by investigating EVERYBODY.

I am looking for info on this. Let's see how much it is ramped up after the 'terrorist' attack on the two soldiers. Please post info as you get it.

Why did you put terrorist in quotation marks?

Ya exactly, i think we will know tommorrow an what type of defensive measures all bases will implement, and what role units are going to play, like setting up presence in airports etc....but i'm only guessing....maybe it would best to remain a soft target, until we get all the Scumbags....It's a good thing they are not very good at this terrorist stuff, amatuer hour at best....

I think we need to get a few military Parades going to show those idiots we aren't going to hide and the MPs should have a meet and greet with the public to once again show that you can't force us to hide under our beds...

I disagree, unlike complex attacks like 9/11 or larger bombings, both these less complex attacks, made-up of very few people, are much more easier to carry out........frankly, I'm surprised more haven't been carried out Post 9/11.

I hope Argus and Charles Anthony are ok. I'm not sure who else is from Ottawa.

The funny thing is I was at the Rideau Center shopping for a jacket and left twenty minutes before all this happened. All government buildings in Ottawa are in lockdown. I've heard from friends in buildings in north Gatineau, west Ottawa and down in Barrhaven, all locked down. Which seems kind of silly, especially the small Health Canada complex on Baseline. I haven't seen anything yet that indicates the Rideau Centre incident was anything more than panic, given what was going on elsewhere. This could turn out to be one guy who shot the soldier at the war memorial, then ran over to Parliament Hill.

I'm glad I saw the Parliament Buildings last year. I'm guessing they will be permanently closed to visitors now...

Not a chance. Although security is far tighter than it was when I was younger and you could drive right into Parliament Hill. I remember going to watch the debates all the time, and the only time I had any problem with security or even had to talk to them was when one spotted my hunting knife on my belt while I was waiting to get into the House of Commons balcony. He didn't make any big deal about it, but I had to go back to the desk and check the knife until I was leaving.

I suspect I'd be in a lot more trouble these days...

The soldier has died. Very sad.

Apparently standing guard at the War Memorial this close to Remembrance Day is an honour.

One of the highest, names are chosen from hundards across the forces. The greatest honor is being chosen to do Remembrance day....it is the day you stand guard over the momorials that represent all the members all the depts that have paid the highest price our country could ask for....

Not all that important but the Leafs play the Sens in Ottawa tonight.

Should it be postponed?

Hell, no. I'm actually annoyed the cancelled Question Period. They should just go ahead with business and not let this little dweeb interrupt them any more than necessary.

Canada is under attack from terrorists!

Oh, go away.
