-1=e^ipi Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 Why, you're saying heat isn't energy? No... I was asking you to name a physical phenomenon on Earth that acts like a refrigerator. Quote
eyeball Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 Why? I likened a refrigerator to a natural phenomenon, not the other way around. Quote A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.
waldo Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 It would disturb the propaganda narrative. please step-up and provide your narrative as to how much sea ice has been created... and in what areas? By the by, you do realize almost all of the sea ice that forms during the Antarctic winter melts during the summer... year to year, an annual event. You know that right? Make sure your narrative explains that distinction in relation to an Arctic comparison. equally, please step-up and provide your narrative as to how much Antarctic land ice is melting. make sure your narrative includes ties to your denial; i.e., your claim (unsubstantiated, of course) that warming is simply attributed to the, "Earth coming out of the Little Ice Age". Mighty AC Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 It would disturb the propaganda narrative. In other words it's so hot it's cold? What does salt do to the melting and freezing point of water and why? What happens if the salinity at the surface drops? On Guard for Thee Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 What does salt do to the melting and freezing point of water and why? What happens if the salinity at the surface drops? I suppose the reflectivity of the extra ice formed in the antarctic due to reduced salinity of sea water may have a "foot on the brake" effect for a short time. As Waldo recently pointed out that ice melts seasonally anyway. And of course the process that creates the extra precipitaion responsible for this ice will have a much more profound "foot on the accelerator" overall. Quote
eyeball Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Yup, that would be the increase in energy driving the whole contraption. Quote A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.
Keepitsimple Posted August 23, 2014 Report Posted August 23, 2014 Lets just never lose track of the Premise of CO2 caused Global Warming alarmism. Picture 10,000 yellow tennis balls in a huge box, representing the molecules in our atmosphere. In1850, 3 of those balls would have been red - representing the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. Since then, CO2 has increased and we now have almost 4 red balls among those 10,000. As the debate rages on, keep that in mind. All the studies, theories, projections, models, predictions, peer reviewed papers......3 balls in 10,000 has increased to 4. Quote Back to Basics

Simple, Simple, Simple... without bothering to contest your "tennis ball math"... how many tennis balls are required to throw out of balance the natural source/sink cycle... resulting in the accumulation of "your tennis balls". Simple, what happens when your tennis balls accumulate... in greater and greater numbers? Quote
