This is important because it's the closest thing to Canada winning the Cup recently. Personally, I remember the "Joe" for the infamous Nancy Kerrigan ice skating attack by Tanya Harding's goons.. exciting drama for the ladies !The team named after the national symbol, the Mapleleafs, has a stellar record. The irony is, the Maple Leafs are 26th on Forbes list of the worlds most valuble sports teams and the only NHL team on the list. I have to laugh at the chest-pains and diarrhea so-called "less government" conservatives get when actual progressives propose less centralized and more localized government - as if bureaucrats should not be made subject to the humans they govern. To be fair to regressives though even many so-called progressives manage to act in a manner that keeps the government safe from the governed.
