Michael Hardner Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 http://canadalandshow.com/podcast/federal-minister-explains-why-government-creeps-your-facebook Clement's response on the news that 'government is monitoring facebook' is that they are aggregating and not using personally identifiable info in the facebook context. It still needs to be confirmed, and the million-plus info requests from government to telcos remains unexplained. The morality of these issues aside, it seems that we're starting to talk specifics about what is going on here, which is a good step. I don't know that the MSM can be relied upon to get the details, however, and so online is the place to look for updates. Stay tuned. Quote Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase ! Shady Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 Facebook is information that one chooses to make public. So for me, it's not much of an issue. Quote
cybercoma Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 The aggregate data is nonsense. Of course they're using personally identifiable information, otherwise it would be pointless. Quote
Bryan Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 Facebook is a gold mine for police and investigators. It really is amazing how much incriminating evidence people willingly put up for all to see. Quote

cybercoma Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 Is this just some sort of opinion polling? Quote

Tony Clement and the Harper gov can kiss my ass. Quote "All generalizations are false, including this one." - Mark Twain Partisanship is a disease of the intellect.
WWWTT Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 What really spoke to me was that Tony Clement wasn't even sure if this is even legal! Man when a government is so borderline like this one, you got to scratch your head and wonder how these conservatives got a majority?!?!?!?! WWWTT Quote Maple Leaf Web is now worth $720.00! Down over $1,500 in less than one year! Total fail of the moderation on this site! That reminds me, never ask Greg to be a business partner! NEVER!
