Topaz Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 I don't know how much truth there is in the following but I heard one person on TV say the EI should be taken off one computer because they found a security hole and anyone using it now, will have an undetected virus on it and take one's info. You cannot take IE off a Windows computer. Windows explorer and Internet explorer are essentially the same thing. It's integrated with the OS and no way to remove it. Not sure about win 8. Quote

I know what you mean, Chrome's spell checker is about as lame as it gets on it's own but did you try enabling 'ask google for suggestions' in spell checker options? I also added the extension After the Deadline and it seems a lot more functional now. It checks grammar and I don't seem to get the annoying list of goofy dis combobulated suggestions I used to get. Mind you, on my other computer, which uses Windows 8 the spellcheck works fine.
