Heres a list of things that are true Canadian!. { Canadian Football League / Montreal Canadians Hockey Team / RCMP / CBC / National Post newspaper / Canada's Vast Size / Confederation Date-1867 / John A Macdonald Canada's First Prime Minister / The Maple Leaf Flag / Christianity / Family-Mom,Dad and Kids / Ottawa-Canada's Capital City / The Guess Who-Canada's Greatest Rock Band / Canadian Icons and Newsbraodcasters-Lloyd Robertson and Peter Mansbridge / Famous Canadian Author-Alice Munro / The Rocky Mountains,The Praries and The Great Lakes / Calgary Stampede / The Bay and Sears Stores / The Canadian National Railway.} I add to the Canadiana List-"The Monarchy" because England is Canada's mother country in fact their would be no Canada without England plus the Queen is Canada's Head of State!.

I'm not sure why the great lakes were crossed out? They do exist in the U.S. as well but they are easily identified with Canada.

But one cant really say they are Canadian, especially one of them.

For the Canadiana List i add-"The Monarchy" because England is Canada's mother country plus the Queen is Canada's Head of State. As long as Canada has the Monarchy as Head of State,Canada can't become part of the United States!.

So Muslims, atheists and Sikhs are not things that are "true Canadian"?

Single parents are not "true Canadian"?

Why is Christianity and family mom dad and kids on the list and not the above two items? What about gay marriage? Very Canadian... We were third behind Belgium and Netherlands in legalizing same sex marriage. Hundreds of countries had "family dad mom kids" before Canada did.

Single parents can be true Canadian. I hope so I was raised by one. When she had to go off to work for the week she left me in the care of my Scottish immigrant grandparents, that's kind of Canadian. When I took a notion I wanted to play hockey I was taken to the arena. When I took off around the world for my work I became friends with Sikh's, Muslims, Hindu's, and many others. I'm happy that Canadians can do that without all the politics.
