Derek 2.0 Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 She's not a criminal. He is. No one really wants criminals in their party. I never said that she was……..But would one not consider a married couple being a packaged deal? If for instance, a political candidate ran on women issues, but was in a relationship with Karla Homolka, one wouldn’t expect comment? Quote
Boges Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 She plans to run against Libby Davies. Wouldn't she want to try an unseat a CPC MP? Quote
Smallc Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 She plans to run against Libby Davies. Wouldn't she want to try an unseat a CPC MP? Why? Liberals aren't New Democrats. Why should it matter? Quote
Smallc Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 I never said that she was……..But would one not consider a married couple being a packaged deal? Are you your wife? Quote
Boges Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Why? Liberals aren't New Democrats. Why should it matter? The point is to beat the CPC, not re-gain official opposition status from the NDP. Quote
Smallc Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 You do that by taking seats. It doesn't matter who they come from. Quote
Boges Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Fine but don't expect the CPC to give a hoot about her if she's going to try and take a seat from a senior Dipper. Quote
Smallc Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 I'm not sure I understand what you're getting at. Quote
Boges Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 I'm not sure I understand what you're getting at. I'm just saying, if she's a star candidate she should be looking to unseat a Conservative. That's all. Quote
Smallc Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 And I really don't see why. To take back power, the Liberals need to take seats from both the NDP and Conservatives. Quote
Derek 2.0 Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Are you your wife? No, but you can't separate the two politically.......hence the Liberals distancing themselves. Quote
Smallc Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 No, but you can't separate the two politically.......hence the Liberals distancing themselves. My fiancé is pretty liberal. I'm not...I don't see how politically we can be counted as one. Quote
jacee Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 I'm just saying, if she's a star candidate she should be looking to unseat a Conservative. That's all. She's not a star candidate, she's a one issue candidate. Not the best rep for the party. She'll go down. No big deal here, just media trying to create one.. Quote
Derek 2.0 Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 She plans to run against Libby Davies. She might very well have a chance in that area of East Vancouver…….you can smell the reefer fumes driving through with your windows up Quote
jacee Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 No, but you can't separate the two politically... That's ridiculous. And that's a whole new topic. . Quote
Derek 2.0 Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 (edited) My fiancé is pretty liberal. I'm not...I don't see how politically we can be counted as one. Are either of you running for office and/or are known in public life to the same extent as Emery? Edited July 14, 2014 by Derek 2.0 Quote
Derek 2.0 Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 That's ridiculous. And that's a whole new topic. . Why? Marc has stated he will campaign for his wife and the Federal Liberals in the 2015 election……..I assume the Liberals, based on Trudeau’s Vancouver pot policy announcement, will attempt to change their political standing via the pot smoker vote. Smallc Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Are either of you running for office and/or are known in public life to the same extent as Emery? Is that relevant to the point? Quote
Derek 2.0 Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Is that relevant to the point? Certainly……As I asked, are either of you running for political office in the 2015 election? Quote
Smallc Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 You can't judge someone based on another's political views a. Quote
Derek 2.0 Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 You can't judge someone based on another's political views a. They both very vocally have shared views…… Quote
Smallc Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 But one is a criminal and one isn't. That doesn't make both of hem criminal. That's my point. Quote
Derek 2.0 Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 But one is a criminal and one isn't. That doesn't make both of hem criminal. That's my point. Sure, and one is attempting to run for the Federal Liberals and their spouse is a convicted felon with a years of name recognition behind him, who also plans to campaign for the Liberals in 2015.…… Part of me wouldn’t be surprised if the Liberals dump Emery squared…….anyone remember when Marc called Irwin Cotler a “Nazi Jew”? Either way, Trudeau now owns Jodi and Marc Emery, even if he ends up dumping them………And don’t be surprised to hear attack adds from both the Conservatives and NDP coming up on 2015 including some of the Emery highlight reel, coupled with Trudeau's own drug usage. Quote
Smallc Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Trudeau's one drug usage won't be a problem considering how many Canadians use drugs. Emery probably won't be a blip on the radar. The bigger issue is really the overall disappointment I have with Harper...I'm sure I'm not the only one. Quote
