August1991
We've got: Canadian Politics -Federal Politics -Prvincial Politics -Canada'US relations -Moral & Religious Issues International Politics -US Politics -Rest of the World News and Support -Support and Questions -News and Announcements ---- Greg: Can you move the US/Canada sub-category to International Politics? Create a new "Philosophy, Religion, Culture" category after "International Politics"? Move the "Moral & Religious Issues" to this new "Philosophy, Religion, Culture" category. Create a new sub-category for Movie/TV Reviews under this new category. The suggested line up would be: Canadian Politics -Federal Politics -Provincial Politics International Politics -Canada/US Relations -US Politics -Rest of the World Philosophy, Religion, Culture -Moral & Religious Issues -Movie/TV Reviews News and Support -Support and Questions -News and Announcements
Tawasakm
August1991 I can only say that I like your proposed amendments to the layout. It makes more sense to me. Of course my effusive affirmation of your suggestions are somewhat belated to be really supportive...
caesar
What we need is a course in where to put new topics. Mapleleaf seems to start a bunch of topics but they are not in the right category. It becomes a proliferation of complete off topics burying any real discussions in the category. What has microsoft to do with Federal politics or Dutch government acts to do with our federal politics. Cannot these topics be put in the correct sections. August1991
Greg, I posted a suggestion about the organization of this forum in public in September. I have still seen no reply nor comment from the moderator. The first reaction came from other posters a few days ago. Greg, I still don't know what you think of my suggestion. Forum Admin Greg Posted November 13, 2004 Forum Admin Report Share Posted November 13, 2004 We need a moderator who checks the fora daily, and moves new threads into the proper category. No we don't. We need forum participants who read and follow the rules and guidelines of this forum and to give some serious thought about where and how they are posting threads. If everyone takes responsiblity for their own actions in this forum, everything will run smoothly. I've already explained in detail about having volunteer moderators is a bad idea and I am not going to bend on this issue. If some of you cannot handle the responsiblity of posting threads in the proper category then you will be asked to leave this forum. The same goes for those of you who do not treat other forum participants with respect and dignity. Greg, I posted a suggestion about the organization of this forum in public in September. Your idea is being considered. Quote Have any issues, problems using the forum? Post a message in the Support and Questions section of the forums. August1991
Greg, I suggested a forum change and I'm still waiting for an answer. What do you think about a Culture (Movie/TV) category? What about a computer advice column? Why not? And what about a Canadian sports forum? Let's talk hockey. (I won't post there but others might... ) To my knowledge, there is no other forum in Canada that accepts posters of such diverse viewpoints. Am I wrong? Greg, you are on the cutting edge. Talk to your people and make it happen.
