carepov Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 A lot of men benefit. In such societies, I would much rather be in the position men are in than the position women are in. It's worse for the one who is treated as a second class citizen, the one who the laws discriminates against. Yes agreed. At the same time, I think that the vast majority of men (and of course all women) would like to see an end to violence against women and the end of all unjust and misogynistic laws. Quote

Im not sure about that... Even though I would love it to be true. Take the US for example, where the Republicans....(a party of womb goons and anti women religious wierdos) got the majority of the white male vote. And look at the decent ammount of support garnered by politicians that campaign on "family values" which is a euphamism for women stay home and shut the fock up. Theres clearly a considerable support by men (even in the liberal west) for these "traditional values". Quote I question things because I am human. Theres clearly a considerable support by men (even in the liberal west) for these "traditional values". You are stretching it. Drawing parallels between misogomy and the average Republican voter /"traditional values"? This is not at all helpful. You may want to rethink your attacks on those people with "family values" - they are typically the ones raising children. Quote

Guest American Woman Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 Where in the West does the law treat women as second class citizens? Nowhere. The claim that it's "just a matter of degree" is ludicrous. Quote
