Jeff M Posted June 13, 2013 Report Posted June 13, 2013 Unless it's painted Iron-Ball ECM grey, it really doesn't matter what darn colour this Airbus 310 is painted. An S-300 system would find it no-problemo at maximum range. You mean that you find this discussion on harper's plane a bunch of juvenile inane crap? Coincidence! Quote
gunrutz Posted June 13, 2013 Report Posted June 13, 2013 Of course this was done to connect the party's colour to Government of Canada. Of course it was, and i have no doubt that you have mountains of evidence to support your belief. Quote
Fletch 27 Posted June 13, 2013 Report Posted June 13, 2013 Or, as its an RCAF aircraft.... I know its grasping but.... Maybe,, just maybe... to show the strong colors of the RCAF? As that is indeed their colors? No, Its Steve Harpers Secret agenda finally unveiled.. Cybercoma is so in tune with conspiracies Of course it was, and i have no doubt that you have mountains of evidence to support your belief. cybercoma Posted June 13, 2013 Report Posted June 13, 2013 (edited) I couldn't possibly care less about the colours. You guys seem to have missed that point. Edited June 13, 2013 by cybercoma Quote
Guest Derek L Posted June 15, 2013 Report Posted June 15, 2013 Actually, looking at it (after it was pointed out to me), it seems that blue has been a part of RCAF colours for a very long time...from the roundels to the colour scheme on the Snow Birds. Still...a bit too much blue for me. Couldn't agree with more Quote
Guest Derek L Posted June 15, 2013 Report Posted June 15, 2013 Also, 50K is dirt cheap to paint an aircraft that size. I have trouble believing it was that low. You know multi-engines……..Would you assume that 50k lands somewhere about ~7-9 hours flight time, in terms of fuel costs on a A310? Quote
Guest Derek L Posted June 15, 2013 Report Posted June 15, 2013 What's the matter with red white and blue? Why are you so fixated on the US, lots of other countries use that combination in their flags including France and the UK. Indeed, including the RCAF roundels since the war.......Including the Maple Leaf, post-war, nearly two decades to it being adopted on our National Flag.... Quote

On Guard for Thee Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 We should perhaps reming Harper (and maybe some others) what RCAF stands for. The "C" doesn't stand for Conservative. Quote

No, Canadian, as in Royal Canadian Air Force: The Roundel: The RCAF crest: The Snowbirds: The RCAF CF-18 Demo team: Some throwbacks of the past: CF-104 Lawn Dart: One of our old CH-113 Lab SAR birds: And Harper's Conservative Party of Canada pimped ride: I see an almost colourful trend here…. On Guard for Thee Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 I only wish the paint job was the only red blue and "whitewash" we had to deal with. They seem to be stacking up just like planes at Pearson on a Friday afternoon. They must have worked overtime to get the paint job done between Harper's "get out of question period free" trips. Quote

No, the paint job has been in the works for the last several years and scheduled with the planes major maintenance event. Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 It may well have been due for a paint job. What was wrong with the RCAF colors I wonder? Quote
Bryan Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 It may well have been due for a paint job. What was wrong with the RCAF colors I wonder? There's nothing wrong with RCAF colours. That's why the plane was painted with them. Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 I wonder how long those paint jobs last. Maybe about 23 months and then we can put it right when Harper and co. get sent back to the doldrums from whence they came. Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 And of course the paint job pales by comparison to the other scandals, a new one almost every day. Quote

On Guard for Thee Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 Just throw a dart at the wall you'll hit one. Let's see, In and Out, F35, the PMO and the senate, and how about Harper's crowning glory, the only PM to be found in contempt of parliament. Just to name a few. Quote

waldo Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 Exactly what I mean... still waiting for an actual scandal. perhaps you need to qualify exactly what constitutes a scandal for a hyper-partisan Harper Conservative supporter! Quote
Topaz Posted June 19, 2013 Report Posted June 19, 2013 Let's not forget back in Mulroney last few years and all the scandals he had and the voters only left two MP's in the party after the election, I wonder how many will survive 2015. I rather have the federal PC's back, they weren't as bad as these ones and it didn't improve the party any either. Just wait until they have to election new leader, old reform against old PC, should be very interesting. Quote
