Topaz Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 A UN investigator wants the US to reveal findings on the CIA's Bush era secret dentention of terrorists suspects. Human Rights, may have been violated under Bush. There may be other countries involved in the cover-up of abuses, when prisoners where transported to different countries also. Canada may be one of them, or at least, allowed the US to fly through Canada's airports to refuel. My personal opinion is that Bush and his gang will never be held accountable, that is for other world leaders, not America . http://ca.news.yahoo.com/u-n-investigator-urges-u-pursue-bush-era-142233528.html Quote
bush_cheney2004 Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 Agreed, they will never be held "accountable", especially by the silly UN. Same as other U.S. presidents, and other "world leaders" like prime ministers Chretien, Martin, Chirac, Schroeder, Howard, Blair, etc., etc. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

guyser Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) Slobodan Milosevic et al ,Charles Taylor , Uhuru Kenyatta (soon, has been charged) + 4 others, Thomas Lubanga , indicted but at large- warlord Joseph Kony and other top commanders of his Lord’s Resistance Army, Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir and the son and former intelligence chief of late Libyan dictator Moammar Gaddafi: Saif Al-Islam and Abdullah Al-Senussi. No Americans charged. The US signed the treaty (as others have) to be signatory to the ICC but never ratified it...thus not worth a pinch. Edited March 5, 2013 by guyser Quote

Geebus, thats a dumb statement. Of course they haven't, Canada is not the ICC and doesnt issue summonses nor indictments. Quote

bush_cheney2004 Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 Not a fan of either one, but what war crimes are you talking about. Alleged "crimes against the peace" and "crimes against humanity" stemming from the "illegal" (non UN sanctioned - Chretien - 1999) war against Serbia [99 day Kosovo bombing campaign] and the kidnapping of the democratically elected president of Haiti and subsequent deaths (Martin - 2004). Topaz Posted March 23, 2013 Author Report Posted March 23, 2013 There's all different opinion of the Bush era but the ones that really matter are the ones that fought in the two wars that the Bush gang sent soldiers in and I came across a letter to Bush from someone who served in both of those wars and HIS opinion of Bush and Cheney. http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-last-letter-a-message-to-george-w-bush-and-dick-cheney-from-a-dying-veteran/5327914 Quote
