GostHacked Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 http://www.cnn.com/2013/02/01/world/europe/turkey-embassy-explosion/index.html?hpt=hp_t1 I was kind of expecting something like this to happen eventually. Turkey has been key in NATO's housing/arming/funding of the Free Syrian Army. So we should not be surprised that this kind of thing has happened. But I guess they learned their lesson from the Benghazi incident. "We are working closely with the Turkish national police to make a full assessment of the damage and the casualties, and to begin an investigation," she said. Unlike the situation in Benghazi they are at least waiting for a full investigation before they go shooting their mouths off and having to retract much of what they said ... so I guess this is an improvement. I am also suspecting more of this to happen. Turkey has been key in this NATO proxy war against Syria and well none of us should be surprised. This comes after a few days where US/Canada and others have warned about attacks in places like Libya and Egypt against western 'interests'. Quote
sharkman Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 I heard there was some kind of video on youtube which enraged otherwise peace loving Turkish muslim extremists. If only these video makers could all be locked up. Quote
DogOnPorch Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 Why is it that I still can't find a good news story about NATO arming the so-called Free Syrian Army? Perhaps you can point one out for me. https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&tbo=d&site=webhp&source=hp&q=nato+arming+syrian+rebels&oq=nato+arming+&gs_l=hp.1.0.0j0i30l3j0i8i30.1840.5340.0.7170.12.12.0.0.0.0.127.975.8j4.12.0.les%3B..0.0...1c.1.2.hp.PUNA2czxKEg Quote Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris.
Guest American Woman Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 I was kind of expecting something like this to happen eventually. Truth be told, I'm "expecting something like this to happen" all the time. This news wasn't surprising to me at all. Quote

Yah I love being in the dark about things and no knowing what my government knows.....maybe they will be so kind to NEVER TELL US ANYTHING because some crazy people think transparency should be confused with cover up. Moonlight Graham Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 Interesting story, but it isn't clear who is responsible for this so pointing to motives like NATO/US-involvement in Syria is premature, pure conjecture at this point. Operator Posted February 27, 2013 Report Posted February 27, 2013 Maybe, I'm under delusion, but it seems more and more to me that Washington does all possible to destabilize current situation in the countries of Northern Africa, Middle East and Southern Asia with the only end: to carry leading positions in oil and gas markets in these regions. Not so long ago I had to visit so-called renovated Libya, Algeria and Egypt on business and saw with my own eyes how greatly internal disorders are blockading reactivation of full-scale exploitation of local oil-and-gas fields. Why?Ha, if oil and gas production is represtinated there, Americans will have to put away their idea of becoming the main supplier of carbohydrates not only to Europe, but also to Southern Asian region. Right? This again proves that Washington will never refuse to follow its main principle in the foreign policy, namely, to divide and rule! Quote
