There is plenty of condemnation of the Palestinians...including right here on MLW. And it's certainly not unique to here.

Put it this way; of the posters here who have made the same point you've made--about far worse crimes occurring elsewhere--why aren't y'all asking yourselves the selfsame question that you pose for Israel's critics? Why the condemnation of Palestinians, when so much worse is happening in other regions?

Why should such a question be unidirectional?

Why does the Gaza the Golan, the West Bank belong to so called Palestinians? The UN gave it to them?

You asked about "rewarding terrorism." Perhaps you'd temporarily forgotten the terrorist histories of the nations that you most admire.

Now you're changing the subject.

Your moral relativism is showing. We both know the Palestinian Cause is the anti-Semitic dream of a monster the British thought they could control but got loose on the world.

Those that seem to fault democracies and condemn not the butchers in other states are obviously twisted when it comes to reality.

Those who give democracies a pass, particularly their own countries and close allies, while habitually condemning other states, are obviously shivering under the weight of doctrinal "truths," and proving the efficacy of propaganda.

I assume you keep trying to shift the ground and redraw the parameters of each discussion because you intuit that your position is untenable.

Most people do not like bullies and if their government is enabling the bully to continue what it's doing, by financial and political incentives, it's no surprise it will receive attention. Not that it's not receiving attention, but the U.S. is not enabling or making excuses for the Syrian government or some african governments. More and more people are realizing the extremely biased and unfair stance of U.S. in regards to Israel and so it is finally receiving the attention it deserves.

and this is really due to the american electoral system, 700,000 jews in Florida of coarse Presidential candidates cater to them, they could be the difference between winning and losing the presidency, the electoral system gives them political clout way far in-excess of their actual numbers...

Just stealing a little land here. No biggie, just something minor. Land doesn't really matter. Ignore the man behind the curtain, ignore the man behind the curtain.

Tell me you think there is no quid pro quo? You even know what that expression means?

How about you take a look at the amount of illegal land grabs by Palestinians on the West Bank. I doubt you

even are aware that Palestinians are seizing land that does not belong to them from other Palestinians now are you.

There is no doubt this move was in direct response to the unilateral move by Abbas to make it clear he will not

negotiate with Israel. He has made it clear his idea of negotiation is to simply list demands and now do so through third parties.

Abbas has made clear he will never recognize a Jewish state unless the majority of its citizens are allowed to become Muslims

and anyone identifying themselves as Palestinian is given any land they ask for within Israel proper.

Those are the conditions he has layed down as the starting point of negotiations and now he runs to the UN to entrench that

using Europe and 65 Muslim states as stooges for these demands.

Yah I know. Those damn Israelis. Horrible people. Won't will themselves out of existence.

Netanyahu did what was expected he sent Abbas an equally as entrenched position back. Its called posturing.

In the long run neither Netanyahu's latest move or Abbas' circus performance at the UN huffing and puffing and

raising again classic and ancient anti semitic canards will mean anything. Its hot air.

Kind of like Bibi and how he never supported a two state solution. All Gaza and West Bank should be long to Israel.

I don't think the WB should be a Muslim state, either. Too many other folk's religious sites are located there and the area is already being cleansed of Christians. I think it should be a multicultural country like Canada with freedom of religion for all those residing there. Call me crazy.

Why do atheists even give a crap about religious artifacts/sites one way or the other?

Such tolerance and respect for others. Gotta love it. :)

It's not the religious, so much as the artifact.

True. artifacts that may predate a religion now practiced in a region are just as worthy or more so for historic reason.Unless you happen to be a Taliban Muslim.

This is the main reason the Arabs freak every time there's a shovel anywhere near the ancient Tel called the Temple Mount. The last thing they want to see is graffiti saying "Rachel wuz here".

HEY LOOK they are building a mosque in NYC near where the twin towers were blown up. Perhaps a thread about how not tolerating a mosque is not intolerance?

There's STILL a mosque in the Burlington Coat Factory building...hit by aircraft landing gear during 9-11. Just no billion dollar victory mosque.

Of course there is. And of course my objection wasn't to "building a mosque near where the twin towers were blown up" but rather to building the planned mosque "on property only available because of damage resulting from the murderous actions of Islamic terrorists on 9-11." Of course GH has to falsely present my viewpoint - even after I've corrected him after doing so countless times - because, well, he has nothing else. It just shows how dishonest he is.

Yeah...it's almost presented like ol' Rauf went:

Gee...this building was hit by chunks of Jihadi flown aircraft on 9-11 forcing its closure? I never knew...

Pure gold.

Will make cranky Pat and his fanboys weep.

When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always. Gandhi
