There are millions of stupid commercials on television, but they get this one taken off for being stupid and provocative. It's actually pretty good, and how is it provovative?

I fully support the Norwegian ban. That ad, though entertaining, gives the impression that a zombie apocalypse can be thwarted with the proper sporting goods. This kind of false impression should be avoided at all costs and the state should be commended for stepping in. silly over reaction, seniors who went through the WW2 and occupation afraid of a zombie commercial, doubtful....kids doubtful as well, zombies themes have invaded all parts/ages of society and media...

Solidarity and co-operation are great ideas, on my terms.

Norway is the ideal Scandinavian model: they'll co-operate, on their terms. Norway has its own currency, and is not a member of the European Union. Norwegians pay no money to Brussels, and they have no representatives there.

Yet Norway has been a member of NATO since 1949 (Norway bordered the Soviet Union). And Oslo is a venue for Nobel Prizes/World Peace awards. Most people think of Norway as a good/cooperative country.

Lutherans are very practical people.

Steyn is right on a broader point: a country can have a Scandinavian/Lutheran social State, or it can have National Defence. But it can't have both.
