cybercoma Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 (edited) Most people consider broken bones to be serious... Most people would be wrong then. You have someone in the midst of a heart attack and someone with a broken arm. Who do you see first? I think the answer is obvious. Edited October 9, 2012 by cybercoma Quote

Mr.Canada Posted October 10, 2012 Report Posted October 10, 2012 2 hour debate and the democrats only get one sound bite against Romney. Hilarious. Romney destroyed Obama so throughly that no other faults could be found by the democrats. I wouldn't be surprised if Obama started stealing some of Romney's platform so he'll have something to say this time. Obama isn't nearly as good without a teleprompter to read from and a prepared speech that he's practiced 20 times.. Romney's star is rising and Obama looks entirely out of his depth and simply out matched by Candidate Romney. CPCFTW Posted October 10, 2012 Report Posted October 10, 2012 PBS is not "politcally" funded it is publicly funded. If it is funded at all or not has nothing to do with bias it has to do with what the American people want. If someone ran on funding honey boo boo and won then they would able to say that they are going pay to make honey boo boo because that is what the American want done with their tax dollars. This is what we call democracy. Democracy is about voting on what role your government plays in society even if conservatives do not like that thing. Your argument is Conservatives is right and should be how we make every decision no matter what the majority wants, my argument is democracy is how we should make our decisions regardless of left wing or right wing thoughts. Canadians voted to buy f35s and kill the CWB and gun registry, but that hasn't stopped you from arguing that it shouldn't be done. And not funding PBS is unlikely to be a deciding factor in most people's votes. Quote
cybercoma Posted October 10, 2012 Report Posted October 10, 2012 (edited) So say a compound fracture of a femur isn't considered to be serious? Yeah, it would be. What's your point? My point is that triage assesses the seriousness of the injury and the people with the most immediate problems are addressed first. That means a compound fracture of the femur, where there could be damaged arteries and internal bleeding are addressed before someone with a broken finger. Edited October 10, 2012 by cybercoma Quote
GostHacked Posted October 10, 2012 Author Report Posted October 10, 2012 So say a compound fracture of a femur isn't considered to be serious? Compared to a person with real life threatening injuries or conditions, it would not be considered AS serious. I broke my leg once and waited for about 2 hours in the ER. Sure it hurt like mad, but it's not life threatening. Quote

The foreign policy debate should be interesting, IMO if Romney can win that one as handily as he did this one, it'll be a game changer..
