The NYT is report Bain along with many other firms are under investigation for tax evasion. They could have cheated the system out of as much as 200 million in taxes, and ripped Medicare off by as much as 20 million.

This only makes me want to see more of Mitts Taxes. If nothing else then to shin the light of day on these types of practices that are cheating the system out of taxes but that the public doesn't know about.

yup... this came to light with the 'Gawker document dump' I mentioned earlier... although, clearly, given the June date of the subpoena's, the New York Attorney General's office has been investigating this for some time now.

This only makes me want to see more of Mitts Taxes. If nothing else then to shin the light of day on these types of practices that are cheating the system out of taxes but that the public doesn't know about.

as I said, this began to have legs after the 'Gawker Bain Capital' document dump... criticism began to come forward as to why this "management fee" ploy wasn't being investigated. But, of course, it was actually being investigated by the NYT Attorney General's office... for at least several months prior to the 'Gawker dump'.

Like I've already told you, the IRS sees his taxes every year.

Could care less. Look at what just one year has prompted. The IRS sees his taxes every year doesn't answer any questions of voters who want to see his taxes. People can vote for any reason they want I am sure there is a segment of the population that votes on transparency so Romney can say good bye to their votes. This is one of the reasons I am sure Romney is seeing one of the weakest bounces ever after the convention. McCain got an 11 point bounce Romney got a 1. Great job Romney keep these slow drip tax stories coming. You know he will because he has already told us on the 15th of October we get see some more. So this discussion wont stop no matter how much you want it to.

don't know, don't care... academic records have never been a presidential reference benchmark. There is no tradition of presidents doing as much. Bush's academic records weren't "released"... they were "blown"!

If I bought into the notion, and I had to guess, and to play devil's advocate, I can't really think of anything except for,

1. low grades (which, as a...pretty recent President has shown us, is not an issue...maybe even an endorsement!)

2. some kind of academic disciplinary issue...which, again, is of little consequence, since we know that actual authorites (as opposed to university "authorities") were never brought into it.

In other words....there's nothing plausible to argue for, even speculatively.
