Because I'm a smart ass American and you walked right into it...DUH!

It's "macabre"...not "makob".

I'm sure there's lots of people here that can vouch for you on that one.(by the way I did a spell check for makob,it's legit)

Rank Country Rate
1 Qatar 18.7
2 Ghana 13.5
3 Mongolia 11.5
4 Turkmenistan 9.9
5 Iraq 9.6
6 China 9.5
7 P. New Guinea 9.0
8 Argentina 8.8
9 Turkey 8.5
10 Sri Lanka 8.3

You understand that these numbers are percentages?

Meaning that according to the stat here for China 9.5% growth means that China's economy increased 9.5% of what it is at currently.

And since China's economy is the second largest in the world and probably greater than half of the US then this is proof that their economy grew by the largest actual amount ant not by the largest percentage!(and that's actually a mind blowing increase!)

Think buddy!

You said "fastest"....not largest. Fastest would be percentage, no matter how small.

Those things all sound like interruptions all right.

Thanks for withdrawing the claim.

What are you talking about man???

Go back to quote #52 that you were originally responding to where I use the word "uninterrupted"

In the last 150 years there has never "been" a country that has had an economy that has grown like China's uninterrupted!(or something like that) Where did I say China's economy was "interrupted"???

I do not retract anything!

I am not arguing that China was a very, very poor country at one time!

But around the late 1970's(over 30 years) ago China's economy has been growing every year at a rate that has never been witnessed or duplicated by any other country since the industrial revolution began around 150 years ago!

There is no other country in the world that can make this claim!

Ya I also remember people saying 15 years ago that China will fizzle out like Japan.

I don't recall this but who knows what one hears.

Those people are probably now investing like freekin crazy in China!

Then they are fools who are too late to the party.

The US is not worried China is going to soon pass them (already has in some aspects). The US is worried about what will happen when China quadruples them!

WWWTT

Why would anyone worry?

If China were to quadruple them (and they won't for a very long time, if ever) then such economic activity would lift all boats.

The problem with China lovers is that you don't cast a critical enough eye on the problems that China has and continues to deal with (or, rather, not deal with).

If a believer demands that I, as a non-believer, observe his taboos in the public domain, he is not asking for my respect but for my submission. And that is incompatible with a secular democracy. Flemming Rose (Dutch journalist)

My biggest takeaway from economics is that the past wasn't as good as you remember, the present isn't as bad as you think, and the future will be better than you anticipate. Morgan Housel http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2016/01/14/things-im-pretty-sure-about.aspx

What are you talking about man???

"In the last 150 years, there has never been a country as China thats' economy has climbed so far, fast and uninterrupted."

Followed by a retraction in the form of evidence of interruption:

"Are you aware that these wars resulted in the deaths of millions of Chines and wrecked havoc on Chinese development and their economy?"

Why are you mixing up my comments?

You know what,I will not reply back to you.

Instead I will just report!

You're reporting me for showing your OWN quotes, as I followed them, to answer your own question:

"What are you talking about man ?"

Sorry, but your claim was incorrect, and then corrected by your later post. I'm not sure why you're reporting this, as you've now corrected your error - which is a necessary part of discussion.
