Fletch 27 Posted May 31, 2012 Report Posted May 31, 2012 I'm sorry dude but the "post reported" and the "Im Calling your mommy" approach/thing is getting old. Can we just be adults here and take others opinions into consideration? This is not Old Russia... We all have thoughts here.. We are all big boys and girls here would you like it quoted again? The reply, as stated, associates to your suggestion, "it's personal preference". Slow down and actually read, hey? Quote

We are all big boys and girls here is this where you spout off about reading 'Mein Kampf' again? ... was that you being... adult - taking others opinions into consideration? again, the guy has been a flagrant abuser choosing to purposely disparage with the use of "St/Saint Jacques", repeatedly, over and over again. There is a MLW rule... this board relies upon a semblance of self-moderation. Alternatively, the report function is a viable route, particularly when the abuse is purposely flaunted... as was the case here when the guy came right back again... and flaunted his rule abuse - purposely. Fletch 27 Posted May 31, 2012 Report Posted May 31, 2012 Awww. I'm sorry.. I didn't know Saint Jaques was close to you nor do I know who he is or was. He must have been close to you. He gets busted in a rub'n'tug and she ok with that... In the press of coarse... A saint? Sure, a catholic one maybe.... Career politicians I have no respect for again, no one is... Fletch 27 Posted May 31, 2012 Report Posted May 31, 2012 No sir, that's his "passion".... Jacks passion was crisp shirts rolled to the elbows and after hours.. And cheap housing for him and Olivia. your 'great PM' is a career politician Quote

So... what's Harper's career then? it is quite revealing to recognize the 'ghost of Jack Layton' continues to preoccupy and so flummox Harper Conservative supporters. Quote
wyly Posted May 31, 2012 Report Posted May 31, 2012 (edited) and you continue the MLW rules abuse. Post reported. I never said you're required to show respect to... anyone. I did state, emphatically, you choose to repeatedly show disrespect for the late Jack Layton. I never would've thought it but evidently the failure to grasp the subtle distinction between respect and disrespect requires a more advanced level of academic achievement than one would expect... Signals.Cpl Posted May 31, 2012 Report Posted May 31, 2012 did you have something... to say? The guy is a flagrant abuser, repeatedly, over and over again, showing complete disrespect for the late Jack Layton. So I pulled out 7 quotes - quit your whining... I expect I could have easily added in another dozen. Oh wait... perhaps you're saying you have no problem with the derogatory use/intent of "St/Saint Jacques" - yes? I could't care less... I'm just glad you had nothing better to add to the argument then a ton of quotes in which btw he spelled the name right so I don't see your point. Besides, just because Jack Layton died does not mean people have to like him, respect him or agree with the reasoning behind him getting a state funeral. Michael Hardner Posted May 31, 2012 Report Posted May 31, 2012 Why am I required in your mind to respect Jack Layton? Is it because he is dead? I think the difference is between not showing respect and showing disrespect, i.e. insulting. The former isn't required, and the latter isn't permitted. That said, we've had a few pages talking about that as a side issue - can we get back to the issue as brought out in the OP ? Surely this is an interesting turn in the debate about sustainable energy, and more interesting than our collective reverence for the well-loved NDP leader. I'd want reliable, ethical witnesses there, like say, David Suzuki and Thomas Mulcair to be sure the water came from those ponds, straight out of the pond, into the glass and down his throat.Because we know Oliver and the Conservatives cannot be trusted to tell the truth. People can't flee from that place fast enough. This is some real short term gain for long term pain. Cape Breton might never come back from industrial pollution killing their island.
