guyser Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 Everybody wins, the Star got a headline, the reporter got notoriety, and Ford got a new phone. Yes yes, Ford wins. He lies, gets caught (again) and he wins? Ok Quote
jacee Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 (edited) I still think going to someone's home even if you stay on public property is pretty TMZ of the Star.[/Quote] He didn't go to Ford's house. He went to view/photograph the PUBLIC PROPERTY next to Ford's house. Ford accosted the reporter ON PUBLIC PROPERTY behind a community centre. (I wonder if Ford similarly accosts teenagers who go there to smoke?) In my opinion, the Star should be sending someone back to finish the job. Why should National Post readers get information that Toronto Star readers are not 'allowed' to have? Edited May 10, 2012 by jacee Quote
Spiderfish Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 Yes yes, Ford wins. He lies, gets caught (again) and he wins? Ok Relax, it was an attempt at sarcastic humor. You guys are to much. You've convinced me; Ford the fat liar is a loser. Feel better now? Quote
Spiderfish Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 "Caught" doing what? Taking pictures of public property? The National Post had every legal right, and a public responsibility, to photograph the property and report to the public. So did the Star. Yes, we've been over this. Thanks for the recap. Quote
jacee Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 Yes, we've been over this. Thanks for the recap. You're welcome Quote
guyser Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 Relax, it was an attempt at sarcastic humor. Sorry i didnt pick up on it. All good. Quote
cybercoma Posted May 11, 2012 Report Posted May 11, 2012 The National Post sent a reporter to Ford's house in the evening? The Star didn't send a reporter to Ford's house. Quote
Spiderfish Posted December 13, 2013 Report Posted December 13, 2013 Sounds like it's a good thing the National Post reporter never got caught. Anyhow, since the matter has been cleared up from a legal standpoint, there's nothing stopping the Star reporter from going back and completing his story, although I think he's already gotten more mileage out of this incident than any boring property purchase column ever would. Everybody wins, the Star got a headline, the reporter got notoriety, and Ford got a new phone. Oops, guess I was wrong... Star Reporter Daniel Dale To Sue Rob Ford Quote
adalinaabella Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 Oh! This is probably the first time I learn. Quote
PIK Posted January 20, 2014 Report Posted January 20, 2014 Is the reporting suing or the star, who is picking up the tab? Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.
Boges Posted January 20, 2014 Report Posted January 20, 2014 That story is old, Ford apologized and Dale dropped the suit. Quote
